Sign me up .... BC, make it happen mofo .... I would LOVE Lee on this team.

What do you think it would take to get him?

I called for Babs to draft him in the second round, but couldn't really complain about Roko. All the same, Lee worries me in the sense that he has become a little comfortable playing on a bad team, and the off-court stuff has become as big as the on-court stuff there in NY. I would rather look at guys who have solid experience with winners, and have developed an unshakeable respect for the game. You know - a guy like PJ Brown. I cannot see David Lee filling PJ's shoes at this point. Not even close.

That's true, he definitely was a excellent player on a horrible team. My thing is that he seems to be a mature 20-something and that under the right tutelage could he improve even more. Clearing the Knicks and Thomas wasn't a place for him to thrive. I'd be curious to see how he's does in an environment where teammates mesh and bond alot better. Might be interesting.

Lee would be an excellent 6th man on any team. If the report is true it just makes me think even less of Dantoni. Not only is he one of the bottom 5 coaches in the league right now, but hes still fucking clueless when it comes to building a team and what kind of players he needs, not to mention his absolutely AWFUL in game rotations and game to game adjustments(none to speak of).

Dantonis making 24 million in 4 years in which Nash earned, because Nash was their coach and he was the one that made the running game work. The guy doesnt have a clue.

I'm not sure about Lee. Yes, he does bring energy when he comes on and the NY fans love him, but I think that is part of the problem. Maybe our opinions are a bit tainted because the media loves when NY fans love a guy. He does pull down a lot of rebounds in the short amount of time he is on the floor...then again, who else on the Knicks rebounds?

take lee off of the Knicks and their still a better rebounding team than us. if anything, it's our dire need for a rebounder who plays with a little heart that taints our view. nothing positive comes out of the knicks media anymore, not since JVG left.

i wouldn't be worried about a losing culture with him. he's a player with a work ethic, without it he knows he'd fighting for a roster spot. lets just hope he gets out of ny before they give him some outrageous contract that allows him to sit back and be a knick at heart.

He averaged a double double OFF THE BENCH. He doesnt take bad shots and is always looking to make the right pass on offence and turns down many 18 footers to pass it into the post. Hes a very smart player and would be a great 6th man on any team, and starter on a team with a very good center beside him a la Udonis Haslem when Shaq was there.

Actually, Roko's playing very good this season from what I've read SJ. His numbers aren't amazing, but by European standards they are very good.

2007- 2008 STATS

PPG -12.7
RPG - 2.4
APG - 2.8

I think he's ready for a back-up role with the Raps at least SJ.

And here are Jose's stats in last season overseas before coming here SJ:

Calderon in the Euroleague: 27 min, 11.6 ppg, 2.6 apg, 3.4 rpg, 0.494 FG%, 0.421 3FG%, 0.841 FT%

So, from overseas standards Roko's numbers are very impressive.

Calderon wasnt that much of a big star here when he left doc. And euroleague stats dont count, what counts is national league stats.
But I do think Roko can do well in the raptors.
