D12 blocking trade to CHI.... is this real life?

I don't even know what to say anymore.

NBA Trade Rumors: Rejecting Bulls Shows Dwight Howard Isn't Committed to Winning | Bleacher Report

Proposed trade seems to be....

Deng, Asik, Boozer and 1st rounder from CHA.

for

D12

CHI can't get an assurance from Howard that he'll re-sign with the Bulls though so they're unwilling to pull the trigger (obviously).

I don't get it.

:dead:

You've got to be kidding me. What is wrong with Dwight, he'd rather go to NJ than Chicago?

powerfulpanda 03-12-2012 11:43 AM

i call bullshit

jeffb 03-12-2012 11:46 AM

If this is true, his guy is a major bonehead. that would be a great place play. Obviously he wants to play in brooklyn with his buddy and have a rivalry with th knicks.

moron!!

bigmandinky 03-12-2012 11:51 AM

So Chicago's frontcourt would've been Noah AND Dwight?

LX 03-12-2012 11:56 AM

If Chicago didn't have to give up such a good pick and Deng, it would be worthwhile to take on Dwight as an expiring rental.

Windex 03-12-2012 12:10 PM

in the words of sir charles.... he's a knucklehead

jeffb 03-12-2012 12:24 PM

Rose/Watson
Rip/Brewer
Turkey?/Korver
Noah/Gibson/Scalabrine
Howard/?

Now their depth wouldn't be great. Would they have to take back Turkeypoo as well? Who'd be their backup Center? Subsequent moves would have to be made.

DonMughal 03-12-2012 02:30 PM

Why would they keep Noah? Noah is argueably more valueable than Boozer, but Noah is playing way out of position. He's a lot better suited for the 5. I say give them Noah, they would probably want him more too. Boozer-Howard would actually work out better.

Ligeia 03-12-2012 02:36 PM

Hard to say that the pick will be good. It is top 14 protected this year, top 12 year after that, top 10 after that, top 8 after that, and then unprotected in 2016.

However, Howard said openly last week that he wanted to be the go-to player in whatever situation he goes to. He said "no player wants to be a nobody" which I guess tells you what he thinks about the other players on his team.

Imagine trying to stop a Howard and Rose pick and roll, particularly if they could spread the floor with shooters.

m5racer 03-12-2012 02:44 PM

Honestly, the real boneheaded move was Chicago signing Boozer.....the guys a bum.

Amare isn't better than Boozer? That's trolling! ;)

bjjs 03-12-2012 03:26 PM

Bosh has proved he can put up big numbers when needed, and this season proved he can be a complimentary glue guy, providing a much needed calming presence to an emotional Heat offense.

Noah and Bosh have two different personalities out on the court, and I think they would compliment eachother very nicely on the defensive end.

Suggesting Bosh isn't the player that Boozer is, is either ignorance or trolling, since it's obvious to anybody with a passion for basketball that Bosh is the superior player.

TORaptor4Ever 03-12-2012 03:32 PM

LOL.... carp is obviously bored right now.

powerfulpanda 03-12-2012 03:32 PM

i said this last year and i'll say it again, if bosh went to the bulls instead of the heat, the bulls win the championship last year. i truly believe that.

Considering the fact that Bosh torched the Bulls that's not a stretch at all... and when you consider that he'd have given CHI another reliable option on offense too... I wouldn't have bet against them.

bjjs is right... Bosh & Noah would be one hell of a combo.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....

Eye On Basketball - CBSSports.com Rumor: Dwight Howard interested in Heat, Clippers if he hits free agency

If D12 becomes a FA this summer he's interested in the Clips and Heat.

Honestly... WTF? Is he gonna play for $50/season?

ClutchCity 03-12-2012 04:09 PM

He would never play for the Heat. Dwight cares too much about people liking him (like LeBron). He's not going to make the same mistake as Bron Bron.

And the rejection of the Bulls offer by Dwight...I don't believe it. Bleacher's report is your source? Really?
