Makes me laugh when these guys whine about not having enough talent around them.... and yet they sign these ridiculous contracts.

Funny enough when Kobe heard about this before the Portland game, he dropped 40.

Cuban is such a boss. I hope Kobe responds to this, with the way Kobes changed in the media now, answering everything how he feels like and speaking from the heart, not giving a fuck, it'd be a nice storyline going into Sundays game between the two teams.

I will help by giving you some background to draw from...you know, to show us all how much of a "joke" Mark Cuban is. I wonder though...if you'r tossing out insults so freely.....do you consider yourself to be a joke? If not, I assume you are better than say..Mark Cuban?

Cuban did NOT actually say they should amnesty Kobe. People are jumping on this to make a story out of it. Cuban said the question needs to be asked due to the huge amount of luxury tax the Lakers pay by keeping him. He was implying that the financial implications are so huge that it has to cross your mind. But Cuban's statements regarding Dirk and "committment" suggest that he does not think the Lakers would do it. In those comments he seems to be drawing a parallel with the Lakers.

Anyway, I don't think the league should fine him, as has been speculated by others. It would be different if he said they should amnesty him, but he didn't. There is no tampering here, like in a situation where the player makes the decision to opt out of a contract to leave or something like that.

Oh would you stop having a fit. Do you consider George Bush a joke? Therefore think you're a better all-around person then he is? No. So shut the fuck up and stop throwing words in my mouth, and making the stupidest assumption out there, you big baby.
I mean a joke as in he makes himself seem like one to the league. He doesn't act like a gm, calls out refs on games... calls out conspiracy theories on how the refs work for specific teams in the nba or how games are fixed. He's a joke of a professional... something every GM should be, which he isn't. Like when he went on ESPN calls out Skip saying the most bullshit any person can spew out of their mouths. Don't really feel like going back to the video, but he said sometihng 'How both teams want the win, there is no such thing as a team which wants it more then the other' OR 'Players aren't affected by the media, or the pressure which the media puts on them'. And then threw out insults at Skip. It was unprofessional, everyone was on his side, since he went against 'The Joker' Skip... but not only were most of his comments BS, it was unprofessional of him to put down the media on it's role (again i don't remember it all completely) and insulting Skip and other media reporters. Even players, Stephen A smith, and other completely disagreed with his views on how if the media affects a player. That was the latest issue I had with him. And now he's saying to amnesty Kobe? Cmon, you don't see what's unprofessional about that? It's one thing out of a fan, but a GM?

And I'm actually curious... since you wrote quite a bit here.... what words did I put in your mouth.

You said, "Cuban is a joke"

I calmly asked you to please, explain how he was...then asked a very honest question...

You posts was delirious. From head to toe.

I mean I know you aren't talking about this...are you?

The classic show where Cuban reduced Bayless to ashes on National TV?
Players disagreed?? hahaha He speaks FOR the players man...always has.

Dirk was critical of him when he yelled at the refs too much years ago....but Cuban didn't say a word when then wen through the post season and won did he? Nope. Its called making an adjustment.

This guy has more pro in the end of his cock than most will ever realize in their own potential Sonny. You need to educate yourself fella. Cuban a a man for the people.

I just listened to Cuban's interview on the Ben and Skin show (it's available on their site if you want to listen) and I remember your old post.

There is a difference between why you advocated amnesty, and why Cuban asked the question about whether it should happen. Cuban's comment was based more on financial grounds, like cutting luxury tax. In fact, the radio guy says back to him something to the effect of "yeah, the Lakers have $100 million in payroll and are going to pay $85 million in tax!"

But you, SJ, made a basketball argument. You said they'd be better off from a basketball perspective, as in they'd replace him with 2 stars or some shit. The problem is that, even if they amnesty Kobe, they still have to pay him, and the reduced cap hit does not create cap space to use in order to get replacement stars. It just cuts their tax bill. So, the Lakers are basically paying him almost his full salary just to play for another team, with zero benefit of cap space. From a basketball perspective, it makes no sense. And people quoted Moremilk's post that pointed that out. That's why your post was laughed at. You could only justify it to cut luxury tax.

I like Cuban. His opinion/reasoning does not deserve to be lumped in with yours. Get that garbage outta heeeeeeer.

You said they'd replace with 2 stars, which would not have been possible due to the cap situation. That's why you were laughed at. A lack of understanding of the situation, CBA, and how amnesty works. You looked silly.
