Kings Cousins Gets Into Altercation With teammate Donte Greene

Once Again... Demarcus Cousin's .... I've never seen a player cause more problems in his rookie year ever...

Cousins Gets Into Altercation With Donte Greene

Kings rookie DeMarcus Cousins got into an altercation with teammate Donte Greene after Cousins didn't get the ball on the final possession of a 99-97 loss to Oklahoma City on Saturday night, according to two league sources.

According to one source, Cousins wasn't allowed to join the team on its flight to Phoenix for Sunday's game.

Kings coach Paul Westphal, reached by telephone shortly before the team departed, "I'm about to get on this plane and I really can't talk about this right now."

Cousins has already been fined by the team for a verbal confrontation with a training staff member and also was tossed out of a practice after talking back to Westphal.

# Cousins has grown frustrated that the Kings coaches and players don't speak up more about Evans' late-game decision making. 2 minutes ago via Twitterrific

# Tyreke Evans missed a three-pointer in the final seconds in a loss to OKC. Seems clear Cousins thought he was open. 3 minutes ago via Twitterrific

# Cousins had confrontation with D. Greene regarding the decision on the last play in locker room and has to be separated, the source says. 5 minutes ago via Twitterrific

# DeMarcus Cousins has been suspended by the Kings and is not making the trip to Phoenix, according to a source close to the team

# Unclear if suspension will be for any longer than one game for Cousins. less than 20 seconds ago via Twitterrific

# Cousins was already on the team plane when they told him to get off. Francisco Garcia strongly contested the decision but was rebuffed.

# Cousins and Greene both took swings before getting separated. 8 minutes ago via Twitterrific

# Sounds like Cousins will likely miss the entire three-game road trip. This was definitely Petrie's call. 10 minutes ago via Twitterrific

# More details from Cousins-Greene situation. Cousins was yelling at Evans 4 last play, from tunnel to the locker room. Greene came in later. 1 minute ago via Twitterrific

# To be clear, the confrontation between Cousins and Greene was in the locker room. Cousins was taken off the plane once Petrie made call. 12 minutes ago via Twitterrific

I'm pretty sure back in the old days (where Twitter didn't exist), these kind of stuff happens all the time. From the perspective of the teams, the info leaks out of locker-room rumbles only fans the flames. Whatever happens in the locker room should stay inside the locker room. When it gets out on the internet, people are going to start talking... I hope this doesn't blow up and ruin the chemistry of the Kings even further than it already has...

Cousins (1 and done) always had the reputation of being talented and uncoachable. Sucks for the Kings...

Demarcus Cousins is going to be a better player than Tyreke Evans.

He's immature and out of control but he wants to win really badly. This all stems from a desire to win basketball games. The fact that some teammates were asking to have him stay on the plane shows he has some backers.
He's only 20 years old and already a beast.

There's a difference between wanting to win ballgames and being a complete asshole to your teammates. I don't care how badly a guy wants to win a game, there's no excuse for getting into physical fights with your team... And for what? Not getting the ball in a buzzer beater situation? What a complete hothead. 20 or not, this guy needs to get his head on straight or he'll never get out of the doghouse.

little birdie goes

cuckoo...cuckoo

who said Cousins is gonna be better the Tyreke? Hey! Watch more Kings games.

It's one thing if yout get a cup of beer thrown at you, after you just got smashed by Ben Wallace, but it's a whole nother thing to attack your teamates because they didn't pass you the basketball, while trying to get like your 14 win of the year of some crap.

Cousins has a bad attitude and should learn the fundamentals of teamwork. He'll be out of the league in no time if he keeps up this way.

Relax he won't be out of the league. It's not like he has a criminal record or anything like many other NBA players did in the past.

barkley was right. he needs an older player to smack him and around and teach him how to play properly and understand how great he can be. he has amazing skills and potential but needs to learn how to play on an NBA level.

If he keeps this up he'll play himself right out of the league.

Yeah he has talent but teams aren't gonna waste there time on a player that brings them more drama than wins.

There's no chance that Demarcus Cousins doesn't take a swing a Garnett if they were together.
Garnetts too big a bitch for Cousins to respect, no matter what his career shows.
Cousins literally needs a vet that would actually kick his ass to put him in line.

He didn't get in a fight with his teammate because he didn't get the ball passed to him.

He chirped his teammate who didn't pass him the ball, and another teammate stuck up for that teammate.

Regardless,

Tyreke Evans is a black hole who forces his game far to much. His jumper is inconsistant, his free-throw shooting is inconsistant. He just doesn't look that good and Sacramento isn't going to go anywhere using him as a Kobe or LBJ.

Demarcus Cousins is immature and most likely needs some therapy. He's also only 20 years old, and has some time to learn how to control his emotions.

I'll take a 20 year old who gets in fights with his teammates because they're losing then a 20 year old who is just trying to fit in every day of the week.

Losing should piss off a professional basketball player.

Shit happens, but this kid needs to grow the fuck up fast. He's a professional now, working with grown men, you can't do that shit.

Tyreke Evans having a bad sophomore season. He hasnt improved much. Cousins is a good center and will be top 5 centers in the league, but needs to control himself. I wouldnt be surprised if these 2 players split ways to other teams in the near future.
