Frankly, I'm happier for him than for LBJ or anyone else.

ToRap, you need to learn how to ignore the idiocy of these dudes. Good on you for recognizing bosh, though. they call you a troll and all they do is bait with stupid remarks.

bosh never did us bad and he gave us a good seven years of service. he didn't owe us anything leaving.

also, negs are good. only idiots use them, so it's a good measurement of how many idiots disagree with you. 32+ negs means that your post was money

You think he started this thread not to get this kind of reaction. He's enjoying this. Bait? Pfffffft

Bosh took a lot of flack for breaking down after the Heat crumbled against Dallas in the NBA final a year ago. He said he used that failure as motivation.

“Man it was everything for me. Just erasing those memories, getting that bad taste out of my mouth. I live with that every time I walk down that hall. I forgot cameras were there, but whatever. But I think it was good for me in the long run … that helped me build my will,” Bosh said of his public meltdown.

“I know a bunch of people made fun of me and said I was soft, but you can’t be soft playing this game, especially at (centre). I just wanted it so bad, I didn’t care what anybody said. I didn't care what anybody thought. All I thought about was pushing forward to get that trophy.”

Bosh said he wouldn’t change anything about his career path, including his history with the Raptors.

“I’ll just say this one thing. I went through a lot of growing pains in Toronto and it was all worth it. Just my time there, my experience there grew me into the person I am today,” Bosh told the Toronto Sun.

“So I just want to thank all of the supporters who supported me the whole time, because without them, I wouldn’t be here.”

Bosh elaborated a few minutes later when he met the full media throng.

“It wasn’t the best of times all the time out there in T.O., we had a lot of losing seasons, but we had a lot of good times as well. I built a lot of character out there because night in, night out, no matter what happened I came out and worked and that wasn’t the easiest thing to do, but each year I believed in my team. I kept working … so when I came here I came here a better player,” he said.

“They asked me to play a different role here, but it was all in the sacrifice of winning. I kept telling them whenever you need me to put some points on the board, I’m going to be here.”

I'm not heartbroken he left. I'm very happy for Bosh actually. I'm not going to hate on the guy, he gave it his all for 7 seasons here. What more can you ask for? You can't fault a guy for wanting to win (and actually coming through).

I just thought TORap made this thread to kind of rub in people's faces. I guess it worked (minus 32 on OP). Everyone has had their debates with TORap and he always loves coming back with the "I told you so" posts/threads. I would've bet money that TORap had a thread ready to be unleashed about how Rondo is the best PG in the game had Boston eliminated the Heat.

You're right of course. Every year I make a resolution not to bother getting into these stupid arguments and every year I fail. Really have to work on that.

And do you know why I feel the need to do that? Because I make a statement (i.e. "Bosh is a star player", "Rondo is one of the best PGs in the game", "Joel Anthony is an excellent role player who does his job well", "Kobe can't do shyt on his own without decent help") and I get people arguing with me for 10+ pages about how I'm wrong and I have no idea what I'm talking about. LOL....

Jesus... at least I give credit where credit is due when I'm wrong or when a player that I don't care for does well. Bargs... Westbrook... Paul.... I've been very critical of them over the past months (for specific reasons) but when they've come out and played a hell of a game I'm usually the first one to admit it... and I'll never have a problem doing that.

Some people just love to straight up troll. As much as you might think differently, I'm not one of them... and I think that the users here that have known for YEARS (since the ESPN days) can attest to that. I'm just passionate about my opinions and I won't back down simply because my opinion isn't in line with the popular vote.

-32 and counting lol.... again... great feature. I love it.

How does a thread congratulating Bosh have anything to do with him being a 'star player'?
This thread was made with the sole purpose of rubbing all the Bosh haters through the mud and having you dance around. C'mon TO, admit that. I have no problem with it, I could've predicted this before the series even ended that you'd be gloating about Bosh finally getting a ring, and that's all fine and good. The thing that might be rubbing people the wrong way is that you know that was the real reason for this thread and nothing else, although you say otherwise, and yet you call out others for being a troll, when this is the epitome of troll.

I disagree completely with this. To me trolling is when you're pissing people off just for the sake of pissing people off, and as far as content goes, you don't really give a shit either way.

Torap has always been CB4 fan, and making a thread to congratulate him is definitely not trolling. Torap deserves his dance and the haters have earned the right to be subjected to his gloating.

I'm not even gonna bother addressing all your points. I can't let this one in particular slide though.

You give Westbrook credit? Yeah, sure. The guy was a PG on one of the youngest teams to ever get to the NBA finals, was within 3 wins of a 'ship, and you say he "sucks as a PG".

That's not giving credit where it is due. You want to have your cake and eat it too. You want to be able to say "see! I said he sucks as a PG! I said it before!" while also turning around and saying "I'm objective! I said he's talented!"

I can't even believe you've got the nerve to say this shit.

Thank goodness you don't speak with hyperbole. Thank goodness you don't move the goalposts. Thank goodness you don't choose arguments for the clear purpose of cutting against popular opinion; after all, I'm sure you'll find hundreds upon thousands of Joel Anthony support threads all over the internet. Thank goodness you've resisted our attempts to pull you towards popular opinion, not because you might've been wrong about something, but simply because we want you to agree with the masses. Thank goodness you are so honest in light of everyone's idiocy and dishonesty.

It's a good thing that you haven't stayed out of such stupid arguments. After all, we need someone reasonable like you to break through our clouds of myopia.

Thank goodness we have a terrific poster like you here on the forum.
