Default Clippers Waive Ruben Patterson

Huh ... had we needed a SG/SF I'd be all over Ruben. Terrible attitude, but defensively a great player still in my opinion.

The Los Angeles Clippers today waived forward Ruben Patterson. Signed as a free agent by the Clippers on Aug. 29, Patterson has appeared in 20 games for the Clippers in 2007-08, starting five. Patterson averaged 5.1 points and 3.2 assists this season with Los Angeles.

You know the Clips released him because Sterling is fackin' cheap. I thought he was a great fit on that team. Watch him sign on in NY..Or Boston.

Ugh .... he'd be an awesome addition to the Celts. Some nice insurance to have incase Allen or Pierce go down or just need a rest.

Oh man don't even say that out loud..or it'll happen.

Normally I wouldn't worry about a guy like that because he has enough attitude issues that he woudln't make many teams better, but with Boston being so strong and having Police CHief Garnett on the roster, he woudln't be getting out of line and would likely be productive.

It's hard to say if he'd be a good fit with the Celts or not since he doesnt really have a position and Posey really plays the role that Patterson fits minus the 3 point shooting for Patterson. He'd only be signed as insurance to Tony Allen really.

After what I read about him in Denver, it's hard to see how you'd want the guy on your team:

Quote:
Ruben was actually angry that Melo was starting over him. George Karl's practices generally go at 50%-75% speed. Ruben, trying to prove that he should start over Anthony, went at 100% and almost hurt him.

Melo finally got sick of it and went 100% too. It resulted in him dunking on Ruben several times in succession as well as scoring from everywhere. Ruben then tried to fight him.

After that, Karl put Rube on someone else. Note to Ruben: Don't try to hurt the franchise player.

Oh, one more story. The Nuggets thought if they could give Ruben a jumper, he would be terrific. AD was tasked with giving Ruben an offensive game. Ruben told him to **** off, that no one could stop his drive and who did Adrian Dantley think he was?

If we had a player like Rueben I guarantee our players would stop getting tossed around like rag dolls when they go to the bucket.

Yeah, but then we'd have hurt feelings all around in the clubhouse when Ruben takes runs at everyone.
