Ohh right, Butler is there now. Well, that's awesome --- although the numbers might not work anymore for that trade, they probably have no cap left.

I think you'd figure out how to play CP3 and Gordon together. They both have way too much talent off the ball to fail. It's like putting young Manu and young Nash together. There'll be a way. Clips just need a playbook, I think they didn't have any last year.

Re Emeka - it's not ideal, just trying to throw crap at the wall and making it look as good as possible -- so Gordon wouldn't have to be in the deal
I'd do that deal and run from Clips point of view, if the numbers still work because of Caron.
I'm less sure about the Hornets side there, because the picks may be low, and also there are restrictions on those picks from earlier trades.

Yes in the other thread about CP3 to Clippers/GSW. Hornets were interested in Gordon or Curry, but both teams have pulled out unless its guaranteed that Paull will sign an extension

Juuuuuuust to reiterate the Clips position......

If Paul is willing to pick up his 12-13 option at the time of a trade, delaying his free agency by one year, the Clippers are prepared to give up either Eric Gordon or Minnesota's unprotected No. 1 pick for 2012.

This would delay Paul's free agency by one season.

Sources are confident that they can keep Paul on a long-term deal, especially if they can sign Blake Griffin next summer.
