This will not end well... I think LBJ honestly wanted to avoid a decision part II where he comes off looking like an arrogant asshat but the longer he takes, the more likely this will be the case

He already looks like an arrogant ass imo. This might be worse than 2010....and if he just ends up staying in Miami he'll really look like a dick.

Miami isn't going to make big signs till he does something, so that handicaps them till he decides, they also convince Bosh and Wade to opt out on contracts so it hurts those two individuals and the organization, Cleveland goes trades away valuable assets so they can give him the money he needs and the space for what he wants (Like Ray Allen). Teams are making sacrifices for the guy and he's just sitting and waiting, and his agents or himself are giving reliable sources information that he's "closer to sign with x team" so the other team makes a move to woo him. He's playing with the teams in a business manner, that's what agents and analysts mean when they say he's a 'business man'. Like Kobe, Melo, etc... being selfish in that way can get people to hate you. I'm not saying people should, but some will. And understandably.

"But he's not doing it", so the agent's doing EVERYTHING? Without LBJ knowing? He has meetings with people like Riley which last over an hour, if he had no clue and was really letting his agents do EVERYTHING all he'd have to say in his private meeting would be "talk to my agent". No way he's as innocent as he's making himself out to seem. And I guess this is considered conspiracy but I believe that's what the "business" aspect of free agency is to the stars.
P.S. I went on a rant this is more directed at people who think LBJ is mr. innocent and not at Jeff.
Well, there is a lot going on in the background. Him going back to the CAVS is all rumors. I am pretty sure he wanted to stay in Miami but was waiting for the management to sign a few more pieces. It makes sense. Would you make a decision bases on not knowing if Wade and Bosh are going to be there?
Wade probably yes, but Bosh? Who knows really? I don't blame him really.

And another thing, this whole "he needs to talk it over with his family" is such bullshit. What was he doing the first week of free agency......he was fishing and spending time with family and not talking to anyone. Anyone who thinks he wasn't talking this over with them is delusional. Everything has been done through his agent, imo he has and continues to handle this poorly and he loves the attention which has gotten out of hand.

I agree with Tommy C this is a huge decision, he's human, he's probably changed his mind two or three times, probably hoping he'd get more than Granger and McRoberts from Miami, but just can get over that ass of an owner in Cleveland although he'd probably like to go home. I think he's really torn, and the media scrutiny may make it look like he's pulling this for the attention but I think after the last time he really isn't. It's not his fault the entity NBA free agency hinges on him, NBA teams/ownership/GM's have made it that way.

Hahhh! So torn that he hasn't engaged much with anyone and has negotiated mainly through his agent. This whole thing smells like shit. He is only interested in two teams, he knows where he's going. He is enjoying this imo

I like how 4 years ago Lebron was Enemy #1. Now, things have shifted a little and everyone is mentioning how horrible of a person Gilbert is for saying the things he said when Lebron left, but can anyone blame the guy? I can't.

When your home town superstar and best player in the league, announces on TV on some stupid special that he is "taking his talents to south beach" and proceeds to crush your team and its value (Cle lost $150 in value at the time), could you really blame the guy for lashing out?....but now, Lebron is the good guy, and Gilbert is the evil, hateful GM for saying meaning words....where as Lebron crushed his HOMETOWN fanbase and the entire state of Ohio for that matter....

Yeah I was just discussing this with some people at work, he would have made a decision already if it was an easy decision to make.

I wonder if yesterday, he was going to announce that he was keeping his talents in south beach, and with hte growing crowds and hype, he got a little nervous and decided to put off the announcement for a few days...or rethink his decision one last time before not being allowed back in Cle ever again....

He's already made the decision, probably days ago. When and how he announces this should be interesting.

I don't know about you, but with me if I'm torn it's all in my mind I'm not talking to everybody about it, maybe not anybody until I figure it out myself, in the mean time I'm staying away from the situation ( ie letting my agent deal with it) When I know, then my agent will know. That being said, as of today he probably knows where he's going, heck maybe as of last week he knew where he was going, but maybe, just maybe, he's not 100% with the decision and maybe that's where he wants to be, 100%, but maybe he'll never be 100%, so he's going to have to accept that, and just do it. IMO I don't think he enjoys not being 100%, and therefore the delay. He's worked on building back his image, I'm sure he understands attention seeking in this manner, is not endearing to fans (ie. "The Decision")

I doubt so really. I think he was waiting to see what Riles gonna do in terms of the roster, while the CAVS made that trade firing up all kind of rumors.

Riles has little room to do shit now and no assets to trade.

No he hasn't - he hasn't signed any papers. He's probably made the decision more than once already in his head but he has not committed yet which is what matters.

And this is most likely what he told him during the meeting that took place in Las Vegas on Wednesday. With Wade past his prime, Allen considering retirement, Battier who just did and LBJ showing that he is human in the finals you need more than just that to win. It's a legit question to ask who is going to be on the roster and who is on the radar. I am sure Riles is trying his best but with the big 3 concept it leaves little room to work with. Then the rumors about the CAVS trading players and unloading salaries, these are just speculations. The Jack trade was already discussed during the regular season, but now everything is linked to LBJ, right?
If Bosh were to accept an offer from a another team then you know what next to come, but at this point I still think he wants to stay in Miami and going back to Ohio was never on his mind.
Yeah The Decision back then was stupid really, but itís a business after all and he felt like he had much better chances in Miami to team up with Bosh and Wade. Can you blame him? Nope, he busted his ass with the CAVS and couldnít win no matter what. Can you blame him for The Decision and the way he made it in prime time? Yeah, absolutely.

Micky Arison: I am shocked & disappointed in today's news. However I will never forget what Lebron brought us for 4 years. Thanks for memories @KingJames Twitter

This is how a classy owner responds. Kudos to Micky Arison, no talk of LBJ being a coward, no mocking him, no wishing a curse follows him wherever he goes, just an honest comment about his disappointment and a show of class. I was disappointed with what LBJ did last time ( surely he could have handled it better but he himself said he would have still left Cleaveland then), but I was even more disappointed back then with the way Gilbert handled it. I'm sure Arison is losing a ton of money as we speak, I'm sure he and Heat fans are crushed, but simply put, he showed a lot of class and I see why players from Alonzo Mourning to LBJ valued playing for him.
