If he really believes he was a HOFer 4 years ago, let alone right now, he's delusional. If he plays like an average bigman the rest of his career, he won't make the HOF. If he has another good 5-7 seasons then yeah, but his comment is wrong and just shows how out of touch he is.

ball don't lie, do you think lebron should be in talks of best ever if he pulls a couple more titles while playing at such an absurd level for another 5 years or so?
Only if he dominates the playoffs and Finals like he did last year, and gets 7+ rings. Jordans playoff and Finals performances(especially) are what sets him apart, so Lebron has a looonnnng way to go.

I don't know if VC should be in the hall of fame but they should have a video booth with "the dunks" there, those dunks were Legen... wait for it, dary.

Chris Bosh is a little girl, called it.

By the time he retires, Chris Bosh will be the best player the Raptors have ever had. He already has more accolades than Vince and could have half a dozen championships if all goes well. He's a surefire hall of famer if he stays healthy.

Bosh will never have been as good as Vince was at his peak, but he may end up with more stats given he's with Lebron

If Bosh was in the West he would probably only have 3-4 All-Star Appearances in his career so far.

vince is blake griffin tier superstar, all but a bunch of media fluff

bigmen are too often forgotten about when it comes to these things. i bet if you were to ask everyone who considered themselves nba fans who the best player was in the past 15 years, they'd all omit tim duncan because he's just forgotten about because of his position and consistency.

at the end of the day, i firmly believe that Bosh has a bigger impact on the heat than wade does on a nightly basis, it's just that wade is a far more exciting and flashy player that he gets the recognition he receives. it was the same thing when shaq was on the heat. he was the force behind their championship, wade was the media coverage.

THIS.

It aint about whether he is, of course he will be. It's that he felt it was ok to say it. Those are the questions you don't answer.

Points, assists, and rebounds have all dropped substantially since he went to Miami, though he does obviously have a better chance at championships.

I can't believe he thought he was a lock 4 years ago. I think he has a good shot at it, but 4 years ago his only accomplishments were really his All-Star appearances and one division title. If he really wants to seal it, he should decline his option and try again to lead a team to significant success in the playoffs.

Had he stayed in Toronto he'd probably be a perennial 20/10 all-star PF with playoff appearances here and there. Likely would be a hall of famer based on stats.

agreed 100 percent. i've said it before. Bosh is the heat's catalyst. without him they wouldn't have won the title last year

4 years ago probably not, and I'd say he still isn't now. If he can make a couple of All-NBA teams then yeah. One All-NBA second-team in 9 years is okay I guess.

^And not to derail the thread but I believe the main reason, besides Lebron and team defense, that the Heat won the title last year was because of Shane Battier's play. Dude shot something crazy like 60% from beyond the arc, and played some solid D as well.

Agreed, But I still don't know where all these Jordan comparisons are coming from?

Jordan struck fear into every opposing team he played & it didn't matter playoffs or regular season.
Even if the Bulls were down 20 if they had Jordan playing you can bet there is a really good chance they win that game. No team ever felt safe with a lead when Jordan was playing period.

Lebron does not strike that same fear into any team IMO

I think he may actually make it, because of the all star selections. Of course, none of those selections were as a starter, he was never even top 5 at his position, he was never the best player at his position in his conference, never a top 10 player, no 1st team selections and never won a playoff round as the best player on his team.

However, he did play in the east with little competition at the PF/C spot, on a team that catered to his strengths and then he switched to Miami where he's riding on Lebron's greatness.

If they win 2+ titles, he will probably make it, with 10 all star appearances or so. If they never win another, it's very unlikely he gets there.

Either way, he doesn't deserve it and to claim you were a HOF 4 years ago shows he truly lacks touch with reality (besides the obvious lack of modesty).
