Quote:

Penses tu rester à Portland l'an prochain?

On serait propres...
Quote:

i try to translate quickly !!!

LX 05-21-2012 10:50 AM

thanks Bankiz - looks cool - I look forward to the translation. I'm going to move this over to the NBA section though.

Ammo 05-21-2012 10:55 AM

I was hoping you'd manage to subtly slip a Toronto question in there and see if he comes back with nothing but venom.

MrClutch 05-21-2012 10:59 AM

From the little french that I somewhat remember, he wants to remain in portland and believes the pacers will beat the heat and it will be a boston okc final

Beans 05-21-2012 11:14 AM

Here's the Chrome translation. It's not great but you get the gist.

Quote:
What are for you the major differences between European basketball and American basketball? How do you explain that Europeans are increasingly integrated in the NBA?

No difference. It's two baskets, one ball and five against five. It's just the same game before, we did not measure up physically. Now the Europeans are very physqiues. They arrive and are pr Ets to play in the NBA right now.

Quote:
Hello Nicolas, with what you have seen so far in the Playoffs, who will be champion you think?

On what I saw, San Antoinio and Oklahoma are well above the West. To the east is more uncertain. We can not say who will be in the final. Indiana can cause an upset. I'll play it and play a final frenchy San Antonio-Boston and a victory for Spurs (4-2)

Quote:
Do you stay in Portland next year?

I'm free at 1 July. Retricitive free agent as they say. I'll see what's on the market. I must look, I see the offers. If an offer interests me, off Portland, I will réféléchir. If I find nothing, I can stay. (Note: If Portland is aligned with the offer from another club, he can keep it). I pr and stay in Portland. If Portland is aligned, as they gave me my chance that the fans are awesome and I like it. If I stay, so good. It gets worse. I do not want to earn more money'' to be on the bench.

Quote:
What are your stages pr éférés? hottest in the atmosphere?

Outside Portland? I do not see ... There is no better than the Rose Garden. It's 48 minutes of ambience. They push whatever the outcome. Even this season, with disappointing results, they are there. The last game, last minute, we nevertheless receives a standing ovation, despite our elimination pr ématurée. After, Oklahoma, Utah and Boston, it can be hot too.

Quote:
Hi Nick, If you could make the trades of your choice, you would go to what team and what are your five best players?

I'm not talking about a team and a city. In San Antonio Rodrigue Beaubois, Tony Parker, Ronny Turiaf, Ian Mahinmi, Mickael Piterus, Petro and Kevin Seraphin. With coach Vincent Collet. It would own ...

Quote:
Pr éfères you have a franchise player status in an average team or be ranked lowest or the second, third or fourth man in a large displacement of the league?

There are two cases. Either be a major player in a team that plays wins. Either be a star in a losing team but I'd go back ...

Quote:
What are your goals for next year's statistics?

I have four. More playing time: More than 30 minutes to fire Percentage: 50% shooting, 42% to 88% and 3 points to start. And the victories . This is the most important stat to finish. After, if I make no season to average 20 points, but I took three titles, it suits me!

Bankiz 05-21-2012 11:28 AM

here is finally my translation :

Quote:

for you, which are the difference between european baskball and the NBA ?

How do you explain that Europeans have increasingly better integration in the NBA?

NO difference. still 2 buckets, a ball and 5-on-5. It's the same game. In the past, europeans were not body-ready. In recent years, europeans came a more body-ready.
They come in the NBA and are ready to play right away.
Quote:

At the moment during the PLayoffs, which team do you see champion ?

For what i see, San Antoinio and Oklahoma are above in the West.
In the East, more complicate.
No one can say whom will be in the finals. Indiana can create THE surprise.
I support my french teammate and bet a finale San Antonio-Boston.
Spurs win 4-2
Quote:

Would you stay in Portland next season ?

I'm a Retricitive free agent the 1st july. I will test the matket. I own to myself to see what's out there.
If an offer has some interest for me, i will take it under consideration.
If i find nothing, i can stay in portland.

I'm ready to stay in portland. IF they match any offer. They gave me my first opportunity, the fans are great and i love Portland. i can do worst.
I don't want a big contract to be on the bench.
Quote:

Would you prefer to be a franchise player with a mid-league team or bad-team or would you consider or being the second-third or fourth option with a contender ?

2 possibilities :
1. being a starter with a team to compete for the championship.
2. Being the big star on a bad team and get this team to the next level.
Quote:

What are your goal for next season (stats) ?

I have four.
More game time, more than 30 minutes
50% FGs, 42% 3P and 88% FT

and more win, it's what matter the most at the end of the season.

But if i don't have a 20ppg season, but if i have 3 titles, i would be fine

just a spurs boston final, and you will have understand it all. but he don't believe it, he hope, because there are french player on those two teams.

But i'm not sure for him to stay in portland, but i think he knows that spurs are not an option now that Leonard is the starter at SF.

LOG 05-21-2012 11:38 AM

so we need to promise him starter a position with 30+ minutes and pay more than any other team

Tat would be a terrible approach. We need to offer him a good chance to compete for a role as big or bigger than that. We can offer him a lot of opportunities, but there can't be any promises, and he surely understands that a lot would be up to him as to how that translates so to speak. If he is looking for nothing more than minutes and cash than he's of no use to anyone, but from his answers here there's a good indication that he has the right mindset.
