Carter to demand trade?

Nothing any of us didn't know was going to happen, but now SI is saying it too.

Quote:
Carter is being asked to play hard for a team that: a.) doesn't expect to win for the next two years and b.) is subtly courting someone -- LeBron James -- to replace him. How long will it be before Carter demands a trade? Midseason?

What a dipshit .... so, we can expect another dog fucking season from VC unless the Nets accommodate his request and deal him. If not, get ready Nets fans. If you don't already resent that sack of shit, you will soon.

It's not that easy. The salaries for the traded players going in each direction have to no more than 125% plus $100,000 within each other. The most likely trade scenario for the Raptors and Nets that works under those conditions is Bargnani, Parker and Graham for Vince and Chris Douglas-Roberts. Having said that, the Nets could probably get a better offer, and I doubt Colangelo would risk the negative press and possible negative influence on team chemistry of bringing Vince back. Of course, if this trade was on the table, I would do it in a second.

I still wouldn't do it knowing that VC is coming back. Even if the trade was VC for a second rounder. I still wouldn't do it

No - the picks don't count in the salary calculation. Also, there are rules about how many first round draft picks you're allowed to trade. You're not allowed to trade first round picks in consecutive drafts (although the rule might not apply if you have more than 2 first round picks in a particular draft). Since the Raptors traded their 2008 first round pick (Roy Hibbert) in the Jermaine O'Neal trade, Colangelo could only offer the first rounders in 2010 and 2012.

Yeah new could trade consecutive, just didn't know if the pick itself counted towards salary calculated for a trade...

I dont care what people say about him.

Jose
Vince
Moon
Oneal
Bosh

now were talkng about a line up that contends, and Vince is way down on the ladder of responsibility. Perfect scenario. And look at it this way, what better way to repair his reputation......

I'd do it, fuck it, throw in Bargs then
