Default Carmelo Anthony is optimistic - I Love NY

“That’s big,” Anthony said. “I think coming into camp if you can have a group of guys that’s known for playing with each other, that’s been around guys, been around each other for a long period of time, you start building from there, you start getting used to each other.”

Anthony will help the Knicks recruit free agents this summer.

“When the front office asks me to call somebody, I’ll give them a shout” he said. “If I feel that somebody can help us, I’ll give him a shout.”

Via New York Times

What would we do without NY and the coming drama they are going to have this year.

I love seeing NY fail, but it's starting to get old, and I would rather see them not be some kind of basketball hell, but show enough competency that it will feel good to see them lose. Right now it's just more of the same and too pathetic and feeling like they could be the wizards for the next decade or more.

Melo is the reason they suck, they were doing great until he showed up.

No I agree, not when Melo showed up but certainly Melo has derailed that team through out the year - especially after he returned from his injuries.

I feel bad with whats going on with the Knicks. Not only because they are a historic franchise I'm a Cuse fan as well. Seeing the best Orange player to ever come out of that program struggle so much hurts. His stock fell just like the time DC came out of the Cuse with high expectations.

You can blame Melo, but he real problem has been a terrible lack of vision and basic competence from the top down. Just look at the inane way they acquired Melo, giving up a ton of talent for a guy they could have nabbed in free agency had they just had the balls to let his contract run out. There is an air of desperation that is somehow combined with a sense of inevitable greatness that time after time just short-circuits.

Some guys are just losers. Talented, but losers nonetheless. Like T-Mac and Carter before him, Melo is a born loser. It's scientific.

Yeah, you have to shove a ton of powder to the air, only then can you call yourself a natural born winner

They should just trade Melo for Howard and be done with it.

i like there team better when they had felton and gallo, but cleary things didn't work out this year for all three player, melo, felton and gallo,

well what i mean is they were entertaining to watch when felton and gallo played, plus amare was unreal, that game toronto vs new york when they both went for 40 was great to watch, one of my favorite andrea games

i know melo is an elite player and they'll eventually figure it out becuase how can you not with anthony, stoudamire, and chandler, i
