Default Cameras courtside

Would I be able to bring a camera with detacheable lenses to a courtside section of an NBA game? I've been searching for rules or guidelines about this to no avail.

Anybody?

I'd think so... but is it for video or pictures?

They allow pictures, but no flash, and wont let you point it directly at the bench during timeouts etc...

Less is more. More or less. But mostly less. Or should that be more?

What is the camera policy at a Raptors home game?

Camera flashes may not be used at any time during games. Video cameras are permitted, however NBA policy strictly prohibits the use of still photos or video footage for commercial purposes without the express written approval of the NBA head office.

Cameras
Video cameras, monopods, tripods, audio recording devices and cameras with telephoto or zoom lenses, including SLR's, are not permitted inside Madison Square Garden at any time. This policy will be strictly enforced. You may bring in a disposable or 35mm camera (with no zoom or telephoto lens), however, for some events, cameras of any type and/or flash photography may be prohibited.

I'll have to bring the ol' point & shoot.

MSG huh - that'll be cool. It's amazing the difference in policies. I had a guy in front of me in seats about ten rows up, that videotaped the whole game. It was ridiculous - I mean you're ten rows up and your watching a little screen.

And the strict policy makes sense. The Raps say no commercial uses, but how are they going to know until you've used high quality pictures for commercial use? And then they have to track you down.

I wanted to take some sweet pictures, but I might enjoy the game more without worrying about the camera. Now I can worry about my beer instead.
I hope they have a gritty game in Phili on Friday, develop some bad blood and then really go at eachother Sunday afternoon.
I'll be wearing a Sprewell or Marbury jersey but I'll be cheering for the Sixers to win in a close one.

"MSG The mecca of basketball." My cousins friend sat 3 spots next to Spike Lee a few weeks ago at MSG.
