Butler Returns In Big Win For Wizards

Welcome back Caron and what a way to celebrate his birthday and his return to the lineup, but with huge win against the Cavs. :clapping:

Man, the Wizards are definitely a team that I would not want to play come playoff time especially if Gilbert's back in the lineup too. :(

i really like Butler.
extremely talented, worked on his game in his early years and its paid off now.

he's very low profile and doesnt have that "cocky, showoff" side like alot of the younger stars have.
he's all business.

Can you believe the Lakers gave him and Atkins up for Kwame?

worst trade ever.......

i guess at the time, Caron was one of those 'dime a dozen' sg/sf's.
but man has he ever proved them wrong.
seriously though, has there been a bigger BUST than kwame brown?

Acie 03-14-2008 11:57 AM

I don't know. He was good in Miami and LA, but I guess they needed a big man more and hoped Kwame would live up to the hype.

Ball Don't Lie 03-14-2008 12:53 PM

Butler has been hitting superstar shots since coming over from LA and its really amazing to watch when he takes them because you think they have no chance of going in because you dont think hes THAT good, but he is. Hes really improved since his miami days.

Jose for Butler!!!

Acie 03-14-2008 12:57 PM

I thought Butler was good in Miami.

I liked that team with Haslem, Wade, Odom, Butler and Rafer that made it to the second round.

INSIDER 03-14-2008 01:01 PM

the guy is a stat stuffing machine.
he scores, rebs, passes, plays stellar D...
and he's a bright player with a good head on his shoulders.
you never hear anything negative about him, you never see him acting like a premadonna.
and its so true what thrills said, you dont think he's that good, but he really is... he really doesnt get the hype he deserves... he gets overlooked, and thats another reason LA dumped him so fast, he doesnt have that star mantra that usual allstars have... that flashy cockiness... and thats what makes him so dangerous, and so likeable IMO.

if that team was around today... they'd be dangerous... miami would be a top 4 team in the east IMO.
they gave that up for that 1 ring though.

Ball Don't Lie 03-14-2008 01:44 PM

I woulda given it up for 1 ring too. Imagine if Toronto ever got a ring? We'd all be in heaven.

Acie 03-14-2008 01:49 PM

I'd rather be a perennial powerhouse like San Antonio or Detroit. ;)

me too.

but its a different case for miami, it may have been a mistake for them.
their fanbase is one of the worst in the league...
if they had a decent team right now, they'd be doing ok, but since they stink, absolutely no one watches them play.
so while they packed the stadium 4 years ago, they cant even get 60% capacity now.

Ball Don't Lie 03-14-2008 02:16 PM

Nothings gonna change that theyre lower than fair weather fans. They werent even selling out when they had the Wade/Odom playoff team. Theyre probably the worst fans in the NBA.

MangoKidHoops 03-14-2008 03:15 PM

I think it's Butler that makes that team go, not Jamison or Arenas. He's got a tough game. He does everything well. I'd LOVE him on the Raps.

IMO Washington is the true dark horse of the East if Arenas can buy into the defense the team has played this year. Scary indeed.

right on.
when arenas went down, washington didnt miss a step and even won more games...
when butler went down, the loses started piling up.
