Default Busts Next Year.

Which of these players is most likley to fall on is face next year, and drift into mediocrity.

I'm on the fence, but i agree re: Horford.

He's going to be relied on as a major contributor big time, and i don't think he has developed that mentality yet to be a bonafied "star" player. Maybe a couple of years from now...
Eitherway, i'm sure he'll be good for a few hard flagrants this year when he's not getting his way.

I also thik Yi dissapoints this year.

Horford

He got lucky last season.

Now that the league knows who he is, he's done.

Ignorant and silly. Al Horford is a well spoken nice kid from a dirt poor country that is living his dream.

He proved in Florida he can play with the best, he outplayed Oden and pretty much every centre he ever played Vs in college and came to the NBA and is already pretty much a double double machine.

You are probably basing this senseless opinion on the TJ incident(s), first off, he was doing something raptor players rarely do, making a play late in a game that is probably a loss, just to make a statement down the road, "no easy baskets", we need guys like him on the floor. Secondly, he went to the hospital that night and spent time with TJ, he genuinely felt bad about what happened and he is a classy kid.

The other "incident" Raptors fans seem so mad about is when we lost that controversal game in Atlanta and Horford said he tipped the ball... well he didnt, he just said that because he wanted the win, as do all athletes.

In summary, Al Horford has proven that he is an exceptional player, with character, turned down instant millions to return to Florida (my fav college team) to get more experience and win another championship, plays hard night in and night out and isnt afraid of a soul in the NBA and wont back down from physical play. No way he falls off.

BTW, how can you be overrated averaging 10.1 ppg and 9.7 boards? lol you must be nuts, that isnt overrated, thats exceptional. For all the Bargnani ball hugging going on, on this board, i would trade him for Horford in less then a second, too bad Atlanta would laugh at us!!

You dont "get lucky" in the NBA when your a top 5 pick and your a centre. This kid is the truth!

He plays on a shit team where he gets lots of touches....he is a douche...walks around like a pimp, and is noww marked as a dirty player...the TJ incident was not his first nor will it be his last dirty play.

Is that why he is coming into this year way more highly coveted then Bargs? Probably averaged more boards AS A ROOKIE then Bargs will his entire career? No doubt Bargs has the "potential" to score more then Big Al, but Al does pretty much everything a big is supposed to do besides score better then Bargs and he will continue to do so.

Give me NCAA domination and a double/double averaging rookie year (and he did deserve the ROY but thats a different story) as proof who is better. You dont see Al moping around, fouling people 4 times in 3 min, or backing down from a physical challenge.

He also played well vs a decent team in the playoffs.... oh yea.... that team was the world champions... not NJN or Orlando (who Bargs sucked against anyways).

You act as if being tough and physical and not afraid to do w/e it takes to win is a bad trait... you must be a Raptors fan!!! Perhaps we can be everybodys friends and hug our way to a championship, until then, give me Big Al in a heartbeat. His pedigree is better then Bargs anyways, playing well in the Italian League a few years ago = <<<<<<<<<<< being intergal part of a repeat dominating NCAA team.

Maybe..something needs to be said about character though....Horford is a jerk,,,If I shot someone and then went to the hospital to make myself feel better...does that make it ok?

I hope he enjoys the CBA

wait...

he turned "down" instant millions by making the jump to the NBA?
rrriiigght.

Amazingly Horford would have made more money playing in college where they don't pay him to play ball?

Whatever. He'll falter this year IMO. Teams will know what they're up against.

LOL this kid is here for a long long time!! Sit back and enjoy

As for you bringing up the TJ incident, TJ said it wasnt a malicious play, Raptors as an organization said the same thing, TJ (who btw i think is great) made a great stutter step kind of delayed move on Big Al and Al missed the ball completely and got his head, it was unforunate but i can apprecaite a kid working hard in the NBA not giving any free buckets even in garbage time!!

As for these other incidents, which are you talking about? Examples? From what ive seen and heard, players like Al.

BTW in 6 more min a game he took less FGA then Bargs last year, so to say he is on a crappy team but he just gets more touches is misleading, he grabs so many offensive boards and gets so many garbage buckets. His averages also went up in the playoffs vs what some consider a good defensive team who im sure werent unaware of Al after the year he had

At least pay attention to what im saying before you respond.... He turned down the NBA 2 seasons ago after Florida won their 1st championship, even tho it was an easy consenus that he was a high lotto pick. He wanted more NCAA experience and the chance to go down as one of the greatest college teams by running the table again, that says alot for his character imo!

Im sure Boston was totally caught off guard in the playoffs after the year he had right? Im sure mid way thru the year when he was making serious noise, no1 knew wtf was going on... his game isnt built on surprise so to say people know him now is BS imo, they know he will grind hard for boards, be physical, box out, get garbage points and play hard nosed D all game and never give up on a play, how do you stop that? lol they dont run many plays for Al.
