Nope.

Toronto is wafer this right now, needing a lot of things go right to beat good teams.

Toronto just doesn't have the talent. I know I'm in a minority, but I don't think Gay is a "franchise" guy, he's not efficient at all, and he hurts the offence.....IF you're talking about a contending team.

Look, Toronto beat LA without it's best guy (and he makes a MASSIVE difference when he's playing), they beat the Nugs while thy were missing their TWO best guys (or close), they beat NYK when the Knicks played arguably the worst game thy have played in a while. Toronto got wins, but they struggled to beat teams who were clearly playing shorthanded. It's funny because the timing makes them look great.

I don't argue that they aren't better since Gay came, I think they are. But losing Calderon was big, and lets be honest there.... this was a bottom 5 overall squad....thats HORRIBLE guys, not bad HORRIBLE. A bit of reality here....the Raps are far from contending. But not SUPER far. It needs time.

I agree with all of this.

However, you can't say the Knicks just PLAYED their worst. The Raps had quite a lot to do with that, their defence was superb all game long. Especially guarding Melo. That was a tough, grind-it-out game. That and Indy are the only games where I've been REALLY impressed with Toronto since acquiring Rudy. And even in Indy, they got lucky that David West was being a dumbass. I still would've liked their effort in that game though if they lost.

This is a playoff team if we start from the beginning of the year. We'd probably win 43-45 games without breaking a sweat with Gay, Derozan and Lowry leading the way. Next year we'll hopefully have Ross not sucking and Val finding his way to be a legit C.

Magic are a bunch of numb nuts. The Bucks backcourt is just disgusting now!
