Dwight + Bass for Noah and Boozer wouldn't be a good trade at all. Boozer is MUCH better then Bass and Noah isn't that much worse then Dwight. Both Boozer and Noah know their rolls and are playing great, I don't see why you would break up a great team just so you can get a "star" in Dwight who will throw off the system.

It creates an unevenness in the league.

I'd rather watch 20 good teams in the league instead of 4 super teams. It also makes sure that shit teams will eventually get better and not stay shitty.

Throw off the system?Dwight is the system. Dwight never gets injured like those 2 and the pick and roll combo with him and Rose may be the best ever. Those two plus Thibodeaus defensive genius and Paxsons ability to build a team would be a possible instant dynasty. Dwight by himself is worth more than Boozer and Noah.

Dwight is good but IMO he isn't better then Boozer and Rose. If they did do that who'd play PF? Bass isn't a starting PF IMO.

Taj Gibson would be the starting PF. He did a fine job when given the opportunity to start. With Dwight, Gibson and Deng, the Bulls would have an amazing defensive frontcourt. Well, they'd have an amazing frontcourt in general!

Chicago doesn't need to improve on defense, although they could do better than Boozer. I'd hate to see them lose Noah. They have a nice team game and just need another guy that can create. I'd hate to see a bunch of pick and rolls, and I'd hate to see a guy I dislike teamed up with a guy with so much promise.

I can't stand all of this. Deron to the nets..Now Howards getting traded because they are afraid he's going to leave. Look at what Lebron and Bosh have created. From now on there will only be like 10 top teams in the league and everyone else will be alright. This is garbage, the league needs to do something so this type of stuff can't happen. Players need to get their pride back, they just don't care. They need to put a city on their back and know what if feels like. Look at someone like KD, he is how every player should aspire to be.

Lebron and Bosh started what? And when were there ever 10 elite teams? I'd prefer to see more free agents on the market. That right there will allow teams to not feel so pressured into thinking they'll get nothing if a player walks. And it would mean less overpaying for free agents, since there would be much more of a buyer's market.

Lebron and Bosh started the un-loyal movement, which has made GM's with star players afraid that no matter the circumstances the player will not come back, and hence they are forced to trade them. It happened with Deron Williams, it happened with Carmelo and it's happening with Howard. I am saying from NOW on all the start are going to team up and now one else will be as competitive. It's garbage, it's not the way the league used to be. It's a players league now, GM's and owners are the victims of selfish and egocentric players.

The GMs have no one to blame but themselves. If they knew how to build teams correctly their players wouldn't be leaving. I'm pleased that players are realizing that they can't win on their own and are taking matters into their own hands. It breaks my heart to see really good players stay on teams that don't seem to give a shit about winning.

I don't understand what people are bitching about.... this year has been the most interesting one in a long while. You've got 5 or 6 legit teams who could win it all.... rather than just waiting for the Lakers and the Celtics to meet in the finals.

Not everybody can make the conference finals or NBA finals each year. It's hard. You can't just blame a GM for something that is statistically unlikely. If a GM builds a team that is capable of contending, the GM is not to blame.

These players had teams that were capable of contending at some point, and could have again:

Melo got to the conference finals in Denver. Wanted out.

Amare got to the conference finals in Phoenix. Wanted out, although money was a factor.

Deron got to the conference finals in Utah. Apparently wanted out.

Lebron got to the NBA finals in Cleveland. Wanted out.

Dwight got to the NBA finals in Orlando. Rumored to want out.

These organizations, and the GMs running them, wanted to win. Statistically, they can't all win everything. And even after super teams get created, there will still be some teams with a "big 3" who are going to lose. Will the players finally get some blame in those situation.?

In my opinion, your post is probably just code for more Bosh crap.

It's been a players league for a long long time. Bosh and Lebron were free agents. They didn't start anything. And there's too much emphasis on retaining star players. Why should anybody spend their entire career in one place when there just doesn't appear to an opportunity for a team to grow? Build good teams and let stars emerge, instead of hoping for a star that a team might form around.

Legendary players played for the great teams they were a part of, not to be loyal to a city that they were putting on their back. That's just a fantasy of a fanbase. How many times have players stuck around just for a paycheque and then made all kinds of demands? Loyalty shmoyalty.
