Exactly. I bet everything I have that players that make a low rookie level salary or the league vet min won't be joining this boycott if it happens. Even though I want Sterling gone, I wouldn't mind seeing him still in power of the Clippers until the beginning of next season just to see if Lebron and other players stick to their word because I believe Lebron is full of shit and wouldn't boycott anything.

Why full of shit? It appears to be a clear and legitimate stance to take.

I think they would. Wasn't it stated in the owners agreement that the actions of one owner couldn't negatively effect the other owners earnings? That's something that could be easily enforced then in court considering the monetary loss of all that star power gone.

While I'm not necessarily disagreeing with the action, I don't see Lebron actually going through with it. He hasn't come out publically, it's strictly coming from mason. How far that stretches is up to one's imagination. Nor should he IMO as he is employee of the nba paid to perform on the court, not the legislative kind he shouldn't be looking to take a stand because he is Lebron James, he is no different than the next guy on the bench when weighing in on racism. If this shit Continues it has to be a league wide collective effort via the players union not a small group of players

I think this whole scandal has gone too far so much so that every player needs to constantly comment on it. Finish the playoffs and let the league deal with it instead of continuing to build it into a spectacle.

it is full of shit (although lbj denied saying it)

i dont see sterling leaving by the start of next season and the fact is, as long as he is an owner, he gets revenue. if NBA players were truly affected by it, boycott the league if he doesnt leave.

They can't even stay out for a strike for a season when its to their own benefit let alone sit a season out out of principle.

I actually could see 'Bron doing it and the main reason would be to enhance his public perception and his personal branding. To lead the nba players against the insane and tyrannical Sterling? It would give him a chance to step into a different level of social advocacy - and it would be the right thing to do.

The more the big time players don't play the less the fans will come. Loss of revenue will spur more action.

Hopefully Sterling just steps back - this is a fight he can't win.
