Petition: NBA Vancouver: Bring the NBA back to Vancouver, British Columbia | Change.org

I heard there was this petition going around, so if you guys want another basketball team in Canada, signup!

I heard they got a new stadium. Even though Seattle is supposed to be first on the list, they have no nice NBA Arena to put the team. No bling, no play.

Yeah, we just made one a couple years ago i think? it was suppose to be for our new MLS team and the BC Lions

I don't think so. While the new roof was going on BC Place the Lions and Whitecaps used Empire Field which doesn't have a roof.

I'd think a basketball team would play in the same place as the Canucks (Rogers Arena) and it is 17 years old.

I haven't been over to Vancouver in 5 years.

It would be perfect, Rogers Arena is nice, and if we really do end up having a team, they would most likely play there

Rogers Arena was upgraded in 2006 and 2008. New LED Jumbotron (Biggest in NHL) and New Sound System.

The arena is NHL and NBA ready for another 20-25 years.

Also, we already have a NBA practice facility that has been vacant over the years.

No way would an NBA team play in BC place. It would be like the Raptors playing in Rogers Centre again.
