Just saw this video on RealGM.

Absolutely heart wrenching.

Hope someone gives this guy the keys soon.

He's one of the few coaches with no head coaching experience that I'd welcome to become our new head coach. If you've learned under the guidance of a SVG/JVG/Jackson long enough, you'll have the tools necessary to become a good head coach in the NBA. He was one of the best role players in the early 2000s, and was instrumental in the Lakers championship runs with his timely shot making and defence. I'm sure he'll make a great head coach somewhere come next season, because someone is going to sign him.

What do you think his strengths are? Could help bring some stability from a coaching perspective to this team if Casey was canned?

He comes very highly regarded by possibly the best coach ever, and he'd been apart of PJs system for about 9 years as a player and coach. I'm sure the amount of knowledge on both sides of the ball that he's learned from Jackson, not to mention the little things in being his right hand guy for 3 years behind the scenes and in practice will help him immediately in his transition from assistant to head coach.

Shaw being able to see first hand what Jackson does in high pressure scenarios in the playoffs will also be huge for him once his team makes it there, in already experiencing and seeing the kinds of adjustments a coach like Jackson makes and why he made them.

I still don't understand how Shaw didn't get the Lakers HC job. Did they really think Pringles was going to get them to the finals?

I have so much respect for shaw,

I get it now why kobe and phil Jackson felt so highly of him,

and the way things are going now with the pacers only strengthens his points of being a head coach

I heard today he sat down with paul George and had a talk with before the game, well easily the best game of the series for George, 27 points 11 rebounds, 5 asts

I always kind of wondered during the regular season this year if he truly was the real deal, well this playoffs is his coming out party. the scary part is he is going to get better
