Lowry is good but if u sign him to a 4 or 5 year deal after next season, almost halfway through that new deal he'd already be 30.

Based on his performance in TO so far,I'd hesitate to give him more than 6 million per year on average. Jennings deserve between 8-11 per,but a contract similar to DeRozan's is reasonable. Everything changes tho if Lowry can get back to playing how he did in his first month with the Raptors, I miss that guy.

Although I'm not the biggest fan of Jennings and Lowry is the more productive player per advanced statistics (and non-advanced as well), he is 3 years younger and would love to play in TO. And the Bargs for Ilyasova part - in that deal Milwaukee would shave off 7.9 million owed in 2015/2016 and 8.4 million nonguaranteed in 2016/2017. Also, you have to think something is up with Milwaukee's management and Jennings if they did not extend his deal like how DD and others from that draft class were.

It would be interesting to see what Jennings could do within a team concept. So much of his game has been about him carrying the offense. That got better with the arrival of Monta, but it still left two guys playing inefficiently out of necessity. If he could buy into playing unselfishly without feeling neutered then it could be a nice way to go.

Well said.

Also, just curious: would anyone do Lowry, Bargs and Ross for Jennings and Ilyasova?

ME…

Would've been great if Bucks still had Harris and he was unknown,

But yeah I'd do it if I were the GM.

Don't know who is better, Jennings or Lowry, don't give a shit to be honest. What does seem alarming;

1. WTF is a Professional athlete doing wearing the uniform of a team in his own League. Thats all kinds of wrong.

2. Why is it you people equate selfish play and players out to "get theirs" as somehow having Balls? That is painful to read. Its easy to be a hog, it isn't hard, it doesn't take character or smarts, takes no sacrifice. Yet, ask a player to transcend such easy routes, ask him to become a leader, a team player....ask him that, you are neutering him. If this is what people truly believe than they are even more clueless as to how team sports work than I thought.

#1 It'd be wrong if it were an actual uniform, but what he wears is just everyday casual wear. It's totally fine I would think.

#2 You are changing a player's playstyle that is not of their accustom nor
the way they are comfortable with to be most effective.

1. no. Its borderline conflict of interest in the room... are yo insane?
2. no. Its asking a player to develop his game and do what his position demands. You wanna be a PG, your job is to run the team, not "get yours". Doing so effectively, at the risk of your own stats dipping, is not castration, its leadership. Lowry himself has said he is on board with that.

i find it funny that you're saying these things about lowry. calderon's game never developed and he played to protect his assist-to-turnover ratio. Calderon always played with fear, and it severely effected the team because of it. we don't need lowry to play like calderon, we don't need a game manager, we need someone who creates and attacks.

You can't be talking to me.

I aint said shit about Lowry, I think he's coming along fine. I said calling his development castration is ridiculous. Since you decided to call me out for that, I will take it one further and say anyone who disagree's with me..... eats dog poop.

Jennings will end up in Dallas imo

On a side note, Milwaukee fans are chuckling at the prospect of Jennings coming here or anywhere else. They don't seem to like him much. lol

It's because Jennings wants the max - and told everyone from management to the media that he believes he is worth it. Either Jennings is delusional or it's a play to force the Bucks to trade him.

For those that think Lowry/Bargs for Jennings/Ily is a good deal - it is, for the Raps. The deal should benefit both. Would people consider adding the 2013 2nd or/and a future first to get the deal done?

Jennings/JL3
DD/TR/AA
Gay/LF/AA
Ily/Amir/Acy
JV/Amir/Gray

That leaves LK and you can amnesty him if you can't trade him but really it's moot unless you need the cap room or roster spot. I actually hopes he can come back from his injuries - the dude is a fighter and was playing so well overseas....

Regarding Jennings being a ball hog - that really is an older reputation as the better players that are around him the less need there is for him to be a 'hog'. He is a shooter for sure though.

Jennings and Lowry assist rates are almost identical but Jennings is a better scorer though less efficient. Lowry rebounds slightly better and plays defense. I would like to say Jennings has a higher ceiling than KL, as others have, but I don't quite agree.
I have a question -

Would Jennings offense be more valuable than Lowry's defense?

If defense is taught and Jennings is 23, can he learn it or is it better to finally slow down and let a starting 5 actually play together for once?

No. And imo when Lowry is playing his game he can also score at a good pace, say 14-16ppg.

I'll take Lowry's 15ppg/6.5apg/5rpg + his defense over Jennings.

To be fair 2012/13

KL - 11.6 ppg/ 6.4 apg/ 4.7 rpg on (.401% on 623 fga)
BJ - 17.5 ppg/ 6.5 apg/ 3.1 rpg on (.399% on 1247 fga)

So basically we're talking about a younger version of Lowry that is 23 and learning how to play defense still. Would a player like Jennings add another scoring threat and maximize his team mates looks or would he take shots away from the others?

Edit: Hey question, where did you get 15ppg for Lowry? I can't find it...his career is 10.6 and he's only come close to 15 ppg once.

I'm not that much of a fan of Jennings so i tend to say no. But that's just me. Besides, he scored 17.5ppg on 16 shots.

Wow,now i know why all of u say he's a chucker,he's launched twice as many shots as Lowry. That needs to come down a bit,at least under 1000 fga. if giving up Lowry for Jennings meant getting Ilyasova for Bargs, that's a fair exchange.
