Default Bosh: I'm not a popular guy

Quote:
"Iím not a popular guy, I guess," he said matter-of-factly of the fan vote for All-Star starters. "I donít think I am. I donít appeal to the popular crowd."

Why?

"I donít know," he said. "Thatís a good question. And you know, it doesnít really matter to me. I just try to be the best player I can be."

Meh. It's a bit of a joke that Melo (a guy who's been CRAP this season unless ballhogging is now a desirable trait) is starting over him but what do you expect from the majority of fans?

I think that by this point Bosh has opened a lot of eyes around the league and silenced any doubters that he had. Guy just fits and picks up the slack when necessary without bitching.

Ideal teammate.

wade, sure. lebron, not so much. Lebron is, by far, the best player in the NBA today.

LOOOOOL.

It matters to him more than anything. Hes an attention-seeker & a caged wolf. The fact that he even talked about it indicates he cares.

If he IS an attention-seeker he certainly doesn't play like it.

He's been the epitome of a team player and hasn't been a distraction at all off the court.

He probably does have different priorities from when he made that video. And he talked about it, because a writer wanted to make it into a piece and asked him about it. I don't know for sure, because I can't even read it without a subscription apparently.

In fairness to him, that's entirely possible. The video is from 2008. I just posted it for shits and giggles. Either it shows how much his priorities have changed, or it helps show the extent to which he is full of shit. I can't read his mind though.

Could easily be a bit of both. It's pretty much the impression I get whenever I go on Facebook - hard to tell where priorities really lie, and what isn't just bs.

Good one. I laughed. Not out loud, but it had a sneaky inside laugh quality to it.

Just not in the 4th quarter, in the nba finals, when the game is on the line.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but was he not the guy who as recent as a year and a half ago filmed his free agency (much to the chagrin of the teams courting him), did a whirlwind media tour including an acting spot on Entourage, and discussed wanting to grow his brand?

I guess his priorities have changed, as soon as he realised nobody really gives a shit about him.

you forgot about the movie he made of himself getting a tattoo.

Oh the irony.

This whole change of 'direction' in chris is so hilarious.
