Now if we can get LeBron & Kobe to 'find out' that their grandfathers were Canadians and find them some nice Canadian spouses and the team is 'set'.

I cant think of any really good hockey player from Canada that did this besides Hull. That's just disrespecting your real country imo, if you arent good enough but believe you are, proove it here, bonner just knows he will never be good enough for team usa.

Again, im just discussing them, i really dont care at the end of the day, but i dont feel any pride in having rejects from other countries play for us. I rather give a true Canadian the spot. BAM

I love people who try and pooh-pooh everything. Ugo you don't care, but you took the time to post in this thread 5 or 6 times.

Yeah, we know Matt's not good enough to make the US squad and that he's not going to win us anything, but he's better than Greg Newton.

In a world of millionaire assholes Bonner's a nice guy, that's why we like him.

He's proud of his Canadian heritage, that his wife is Canadian and he genuinely likes it here. Good for him.

Imagine you from wherever and you wind up playing somewhere - say for a team in another country - where the fans of that team really like you and you like them because somehow, you clicked. That'd be a pretty special feeling. You were picked by a large group of people as a favourite. Why wouldn't you want to play for those people on this sort of stage.

I wouldnt disrespect the country i was born in and love to play for another country. I just cant see doing that to Canada, if i wasnt good enough i would keep pushing myself to try n make the squad like Espezito (SP) on Canada's Juniors. That's how i feel about it, im not trying to pooh on Bonner, w/e is in the rules is his right to do, but i didnt know i had to agree with the majority and like it, ty Comrades, i will fall in line.

You don't have to agree, but you keep saying you don't care and yet you do because you keep offering your two cents.

So assuming you are born in Canada, you wouldn't play for the Dominican if given the opportunity?

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to write a blog.

If i grew up and loved my country, which i do, i would def play for Canada and Canada only. That's just how i think. Perhaps my views are negative alot of the time, that's how i am, you keep going to it like it's such a horrible thing, feels like you look down on my opinion. I pity that if it's true, it's good to have ppl that think totally different, even if you dont agree. I post because im bored, not because im so interested, believe it or not, i enjoy interacting with ppl on this forum and the banter, i apoligize if my opinions offend, i dont intend that, i just intend to express them. The forum would be really boring if everybody said "bonner is the greatest", "yea your right", "+1" etc etc

Spare me the victim routine.

Matt grew up and realised the country to the north is far superior.

Im not being a victim, you are being narrow minded, there are many ways to view things, if you dont like mine, that's really not my problem, call me a hater or negative if you wish, i just see the bad sides of most things.

This could go on and on, but I don't really care to play your game.
