Default Bobcats new coach

Quote:
St. John's assistant Mike Dunlap was hired Monday as head coach by the Charlotte Bobcats, the school said in a statement released early Tuesday morning.

NBA league sources told ESPN The Magazine's Chris Broussard the Bobcats will make an official announcement Wednesday at a press conference in Charlotte.

Dunlap is a somewhat surprising hire because he has spent most of his career at the collegiate level, but he is highly regarded in NBA circles for his knowledge of the game.

A week ago, the Bobcats had narrowed their choices to Hall of Fame coach Jerry Sloan, Indiana assistant Brian Shaw and Lakers assistant Quin Snyder, sources said. After initial interviews with Charlotte executives Rod Higgins and Rich Cho, Shaw and Snyder were brought in last week to interview with Bobcats owner Michael Jordan.

Anytime you get a chance to sign an assistant coach from the 10th best Big East team in the conference you just have to do it.

cho did say he wants to build it okc style, well that includes one more bad year if you go that way,

durant,2
westbrook,4
harden,3

if any team gets that many high picks three years in a row, and you hit all 3 well of course your going to look good

durant and harden were the easy picks that position i know i would have done the same,

westbrook is the pick you didn't see coming

walker, biyombo,7,9
2 pick this year and another good pick coming the following year

personally i would draft mkg, but i'm not going to be up in arms if they draft drummond, chad ford says he looks like a beast, i don't think its reaching at 2

Bobcats get Blazers 1st round pick next summer. I'm sure Cho would love to see another Blazers tank rolling around next season.

I don't remember harden being an easy pick. He was projected anywhere in top10 and didn't wow anybody first year.
Anyhow there is no OKC scenario for Charlotte, they will stay terrible forever

Wow they are tanking for sure. Mike Dunlap over Jerry Sloan, that is comical.

Drummond has some glaring holes and his ft% is going to kill him at the NBA level. I honestly believe that Robinson is going to be the one that will end up coming out as the best pick in this draft - the dude can play both ends well and is driven to be the best. AD is too one sided and raw IMO and he's not going to get that bpg that he did in college.

Biyombo/White/Diop
Robinson/Mullens/TT
Williams / Maggette / D.Brown
Henderson / Carrol
DJ / Walker

Not a bad make-shift line-up and pieces that can be moved for others are Maggette's 10.9 mil expiring, Diop's 7.3 mil expiring after he picks up his option and T.Thomas. Tonnes of cap space for next year. Good spot to be.
