I don't want to talk about it. Shit like this happens when you don't have a frickin' GM.

Gosh darn Babbitt gets paid as much as Nicolas Batum. Do the Blazers expect Babbitt to win frickin' ball games? HELL NO!

lmao so we draft a no.1 pf years ago, and he's finally playing like a no.1 pick and we trade him and draft another big who will develop in 4-5 years... Nice. Let's just tank every year and trade them as soon as a "pf heavy" draft comes along.

Outlaw got the MLE (if I remember right) and the Nets immediately regretted it. I don't think any team in the league would regret giving Batum 5-6 million a year. He showed in France this year, and has shown in Portland, that he has a diverse skill-set: he can defend, he can pass, he can shoot and finish around the basket. I like his game quite a bit and I don't think the Blazers should be low-balling him, Gerald Wallace or not.

his contact with the nets has nothing to do with the blazers, so the MLE is irrelevant to my comment.

i don't know if you recall, but there was a tremendous amount of hype and excitement surrounding the potential of what outlaw could become, much like how there is with batum.

don't get me wrong, i'd love to have the prospect like batum here at the cost of someone like ed davis, but you can't ignore that there is a potential risk with signing him without taking that step that he's yet to take.

check it, Batum's stat line tonight against Rockets:

played 41 minutes, 29pts on 9-15 shooting, 6-7 from downtown,
8 boards, 4 blocks, 4 hacks, an assist, a steal and 1 turnover.

just get out da way!

I've been advocating Batum for a while.... Ed plus something should be decent value.

it would take Demar to get Batum, and id do it.

Use davis for a new sg.

batum is the shotblocking, defense, rebounding and length of james johnson, plus the 3 point spot up shooting of butler. (captain obvious)

2 for 1 trade?

it's funny how quickly people change their minds on youth. Derozan last year was the messiah, the new vince. now, he's being thrown out for batum. Batum is good, but Derozan is better. comeon guys.

Batum would be an excellent piece to acquire. I agree.

And I don't think that $8-9M is outlandish for a young player with his skillset.

I'd be very happy if BC found a way to get this done.
