As much as D12 annoys me, I don't think there's another who can impact the game the way that he does right now.

If I had a team though I'd probably chose Gasol because he's the only one of the three who doesn't seem to be a dickwad.

D12 doesn't impact the game when it counts most. And he doesn't have the heart that Gasol does. Bynum is likely better than Gasol, but I'd like to see how he does without playing with the likes of Gasol.

Noah def. deserves to be there.... he's probably my favourite of the bunch TBH.

Chandler probably does too.

DeMarcus Cousins is going to be in the discussions next year for sure. He's putting up 18 11 and 2, and has been on fire the last 2 months. Another year or two to figure the game out and he could surpass Dwight and Bynum. He's the only one with the potential to right now.

BTW, it's still Dwight right now.

I think Duncan and KG should be moved to the C category.

Unfortunately Dwight is the best. He is also the biggest idiot and drama queen in the league this year (kinda heir to LBJ).

I went with Gasol (Pau).

I know he has a reputation for being soft, but he's not. He's always in paint battling for rebounds and has a nice post up game.

Bynum for me would be second. He's improved but, and this is a big but, attitude factors into my decision and he still makes really dumb decisions (3 pt. shot not withstanding).

Dwight, is possibly the most physically imposing out of the other options and most athletically dominating, but he gets by on a lot of that. I just don't know if he takes the game too seriously.

Thank you. I don't feel completely out-to-lunch now, or just a hater, although I could easily turn into a hater with those two other guys.

I like this post. He is not soft. Not by any means. You don't average 10+ rebounds per game year in, year out, if you're soft. It just doesn't happen. His D is also something that goes unnoticed sometimes. Sometimes he struggles against bigger players, but with the help of team defence, there aren't many bigs out there who can't be stopped. Take the 2009 finals for example. No Bynum...but Pau still shut down Dwight all the while shitting on him on the other end. I've always said Pau is more of a 5 than a 4 (evident by his post season runs where he mostly played the 5 with Odom at the 4), and he really excels at that position.

I love Pau though. I don't think there's a player on the Lakers who has had to change his game more than Pau has this season. And he's accepted his role (as the third option) and is performing very well. But it still goes unnoticed...

Pau in the 2009 finals was a thing of beauty. 2010 as well. Performances right up there with the best of them.

Yup. He's declined some, but truthfully, there's only one PF I'd prefer over him in a seven-game series...and that's Dirk. I still think Pau in the playoffs is more dangerous than Bosh/Aldridge/Love/Randolph. Blake Griffin shouldn't even be in that conversation.

I agree with Thriller regarding Cousins. He's maturing, and I've always said is episodes were a result of a desire to win. I do agree with Shaq though that he lacks explosiveness. He has an interesting game, super skilled, agile, but no real athletic explosiveness.

He had one play in a game just before Westphal got canned where he was incredibly explosive all-of-a-sudden. I don't know if it's going to ever be a big part of his game, but with more talent around him, and a little more of that winning, and you just might.
