Default BBVA Rising Stars Challenge - Team Shaq 135 - Team Chuck 163

I was a little surprised I couldn't find a game thread for this one!
Didn't anybody here watch it?

I saw the first 5 or so minutes. Boring as hell. Lot of empty seats, zero atmosphere in the arena. . Chris Webber absolutely burned those fugly neon green camo shoes and rightfully so.

Dunno if I will rewatch this game...

Had zero expectations for it and didn't really pay much attentions so it was meh..

But unless your going to turn it on as a background, while doing something else (like I did), I'd spare yourself the time. Only thing I actually remember was a play by Kyrie..

So I guess it's a good thing JV and TR didnt go? Lol

Also I watched like half the celebrity game and I thought it sucked too. Idk if you guys will agree but I thought kevin Hart was annoying as hell yesterday.

celebrity game was stupid, saw the usain bolt dunk and had to turn it off. It was just frustrating watching such sloppy basketball.

i think they should do a celebrity game with athletes from other leagues
i wouldnt mind seeing michael vick, tiger woods, ovechkin, federer, really any real athlete playing basketball. The celebrities play such bad basketball that turns off viewers IMO

This whole "lets have fun!" thing has got out of hand. I want to see people trying.

Ya the game was absolutely horrid too. Even the old players were pretty bad.

I tried to watch the game, but it was quite dull with players just walking right up to the rim with no resistance (with Bargs-like D) and the numerous dunk attempts. I'd probably be more interested if JV or Tross was in it.

Skip it and just watch the highlights on nba.com. Rubio was pretty great.

Watched the hole thing, pretty boring lol. Only fun when Irving, and Knight were going against one another, but Faried kinda didn't let em go one on one, stat padding like mad. (and ofc, as they showed in the huttle... he wanted to break a few records )
EDIT: the dunk show at the end, by Faried, was really weak and boring lol (for someone going in the dunk contest, that is). Shved was a bit of a surprise apparently, he was doing some nasty dunks but blew one during the dunk show at the end.
I think it was Beal? had some OK dunks in there too.

Yeah he was SO annoying. I could tell a lot of people there were just laughing so he can look good.

I watched all too but was not entertained. I was hoping Shaq's team make a comeback the entire game to make it competitive. The only part of the game that had some competitive flare to it was the Knight vs Irving thing at the end but because they kept missing shots, it wasn't even that good, especially since the game was a wash at that point.

Bring back the rookie vs sophomore game. That at least was more competitive and more fun to watch. Stop this draft teams garbage. If the NBA hasn't noticed, sports are only fun to watch because their competitive.

The rookie game is only there so they can get the early jump on marketing and brainwashing the fans to the new guys they plan to make stars. The actual game, just a way to market the guys they already made stars.

Its crap.

Rookies should be watching tape, shaving their balls and carrying girly lunchboxes.

It makes me laugh they let these kids have spotlight. Hell, they should add w third game, but only for the last three guys off the bench.

Call it the all-stiff game.

Now they can market 100% of the league.
