Wait... doesn't every team have a a minimum amount they have to spend on payroll? There's no way the Cavs are anywhere near that.

Without Davis they'll have 42Mil committed to 13 players. They add a player or two and spend about 5Mil and be ready to start the season.

Baron can't shoot, why would Miami want him? A lineup with Wade, LeBron, and Davis is brick city especially if Wade/LeBron have to spot up.

With the Knicks is might work because Landry is a spot up shooter, and Tyson Chandler strives under a PG that can pass. Amar'e plays great with the P&R, and Melo will get his.

An amnestied player's salary doesn't count against the salary cap maximum, but it still counts against the minimum salary requirements. As such, the Cavs are well over the minimum.

I would love to see Baron in New York, he has allot of talent, but has a Vince like mentality.. lacks motivation, I think playing in NY would motivate him to ball every night

Which teams that can claim him seem like good candidates to you? His conditioning was questionable at best of times, but now with up to 3 months of with a bulging disc? Not really someone a rebuilding team sounds like they'd target.

In one exhibition game he and Derozan had several pretty plays

I also didn't consider the possibility being raised that someone will claim him to dangle his expiring as trade bait next season.

I just think, especially if he gets claimed by a team like Toronto, his desire to stay in shape is going to disappear.
