Bulls Barkely picks the Bulls to win the Eastern Conference

Quote:
Charles Barkley recently picked the Bulls to win the Eastern Conference, but center Joakim Noah isn't buying into the hype.

"Poison," Noah told ESPNChicago.com Tuesday of the hype. "We're not in the Finals yet. I love Chuck. I think he's great for the game. I love his honesty. He always tells you how he feels. But it's poison."

Barkley admitted he was going out on a limb on TNT last week when he made the prediction.

"The best [Eastern Conference] team that I've seen this year, I think the Chicago Bulls are going to win the East," Barkley said. "I love what they're doing in Chicago.

"I think the Magic have the deepest team in the East, the Celtics have the oldest team and the Heat are going to struggle, but they'll get it together. I think the Orlando Magic are going to have the best record, but the most dangerous team in the Eastern Conference is the Chicago Bulls. Especially once they get [Carlos] Boozer back."

Boston is playing too good. They will win the East for sure, Magic aren't playing to good right now, Chicago is also playing good but not at the same level as the Celts

Talent wise, i'd take them ahead of Orlando.

Boston
Miami
Chicago
Orlando
Atlanta

When Boozer comes back lookout. Chicago will create havoc in the playoffs imo if they're relatively healthy.

When Deng and Rose shoot well from the outside, they are scary. Factor in a healthy Boozer, and Barkley's muse doesn't seem so outlandish.

Interesting to see how much Boozer can contribute to this team. They're around .500 without him, and should improve with.

The Celtics are just too good and with the addition of Shaq, they're even better this year.

Boston, but Miami's still got a shot because the refs will allow LeBron and Wade to take turns going to the free throw line.

Yea Boozer hasn't played yet. Their front court is better than Boston's, at least without Perkins. I still give Boston a slight edge because of experience. Rondo is also a better "PG" than Rose... assist/steals wise.

I think the team to beat in the East is Boston. Orlando is 2nd, Heat 3rd, Chicago 4th.

have to give it a couple games to work boozer into the fold. once he and rose get acclimated you're looking at an automatic PNR combo. boozer and noah as a front line is scary good.
