This doesn't sound good...

Quote:
Cleveland Cavaliers All-Star guard Kyrie Irving injured his left knee Tuesday in a loss to Indiana and was scheduled to have an MRI on Wednesday.

Irving was helped off the floor in the third quarter after falling awkwardly on a missed layup. A team physician cleared Irving to play and he returned in the fourth.

"When I went back it still didn't feel right," Irving said. "I thought the worst happened. I felt something pop in my knee. I was falling down around all over the place. It was a painful experience. I was praying to God everything was OK. I just have to hope for the best. We'll see what's going on."

Irving finished with 10 points, five assists and five rebounds.

"It's probably something slight, if anything at all," Irving said.

The Cavaliers have lost six straight.

Re: the ref thing... give the coaches 2 challenges each game (like the NFL) that they can use for situations like these so the refs have to go back and look at the replay to ensure the call is correct.

Problem solved.

Bucks stomp Lakers.

Los Angeles has never had a tank. Guess there's a first time for everything?

I think the Lakers will be tanking not just because their roster is filled with cast-off players, but simply because the main players that could have helped them get into the playoff are mostly injured.

I highly doubt it. I do have a feeling for whatever reason that we might end up with Exum though.

But surely not without tanking? I don't see how we could grab a top 6 pick without trading away all of our assets, maybe even JV. Unless of course, we luck out and get into the top 3 with a pick in the teens.

I do think MU will make a move to aquire another pick and then try to move up. Basically, try to aquire a top 8-9 pick then move that pick plus our pick (say 17th) + a player or two off the roster to move up. Won't be easy and we'll likely have to take a shitty contract in return but there are ways of making moves without completely gutting the team.

For some reason though, with TL here and his obvious connections i just have a feeling that we might finally get shit done on draft night. Probably wrong but we'll see.

Kyrie Irving of Cleveland Cavaliers has left knee contusion - ESPN

Quote:
An MRI exam Wednesday showed that Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving has a left knee contusion and his status is day to day, according to a source.

Pat Lovell/USA TODAY SportsAfter saying he "felt a pop" in his left knee during Tuesday's game, Kyrie Irving has a left knee contusion, according to a source.

Irving said he "felt a pop" during the third quarter of the Cavs' loss Tuesday at Indiana. He returned to the game but struggled and said his knee felt weak. The team ordered the test to make sure there was no damage.

The Cavs (10-21) have lost six in a row. They host the Orlando Magic on Thursday. Irving is the team's leading scorer, averaging 22.2 points a game along with 6.1 assists.

Irving has been injury prone in his short career, having suffered a broken nose, broken jaw, broken finger, sprained knee, sprained shoulder and concussion since being drafted No. 1 overall in 2011.

I would think the Lakers would first try and see if one of their SG's like Meeks or Henry could fill the void starting at PG. To be honest though, they have plenty of 1yr contract guys on their team and I don't understand why they just don't trade for a garbage PG or waive someone and sign another D-League PG just to fill the position. I was going to say that they should just pick up Duhon as the waived him earlier the year and are still paying him 1.5mil. But then I read that he was run over by a driver in a road rage attack. Here is the site
