Watching that 4th quarter was like watching someone play 2k13 on easy mode...

and I died when Reggie dissed Blake Griffing: "watching Griffin it's obvious he didn't do any work on his post game in the summer"

That was pretty funny, and that's why I think the Clips suck. They don't have a real big man.

Paul George with a stat line Rudy Gay could never touch tonight.

Embarassing for the Clips....

So does this mean that D'Antoni is actually a good coach? Who just needed the right players for his system? I'll laugh my ass off if they go on a big run now sans Kobe.

He's always been a good coach in bringing out the offensive potential in lesser players, the team full of stars wasn't the best for his uptempo system where everyone gets a chance to do what they can with freedom.

Regardless, the cast still isn't that good and maybe it just happened that they made buckets today. 'twas very fun

Clippers just need to get some more time in together. Their offence was fine through 3 quarters, but their 3 point defence, something that haunted them the past few seasons, still looks like shit, plus they need to figure out their rotation with Collison/Crawford/Barnes, in terms of who plays with them while they're on the court or if they go to a more mixed lineup. Hollins isn't going to be able to provide any minutes. They should just go small with one of JJ/Dudley in the game with one of Blake/DJ in at all times, and leave it at a 8 man rotation because their backup bigs blow chunks.

Lakers looked good but lets not get ahead of ourselves. They were hot as hell in the 4th.

blake griffin is explosive and gets up but what else does he do, doesn't play defense, doesn't rebound well, doesn't have a midrange shot, his post moves are lackluster,

there team seems like they have 1 great player in chris paul and a bunch of average ones, I had to remind myself watching that laker game that they have two allstars with blake griffin, then they got a bunch of good role players

that first game was an eye opener when it comes to the clippers, their not nba finals material, I got okc ahead of them, the rockets, i'll take howard, harden, and parsens over whatever the clippers got, but its clear the spurs or warriors again will be back at the top

I agree with this

the problem in new York the teams weren't built for his system and same as last year with the lakers, now there playing legit small ball with some guys who can actually shoot the ball

I think the Warriors may take a bit of a step back.

Why? If healthy, they're better than last year with Iguodala. He's a better fit especially in the playoffs, in place of Jack, since GSW will rely more on Curry to make the plays down the stretch and not Jack, plus they'll have a regular lineup in defensively and thus not have a liability in Jack on defence. I think they're a deeper team as well now, with Barnes coming off the bench, and their backup big rotation is overall better than last year especially if Ezeli is ready for the playoffs.

I saw some good things from Jordan & Griffin in that first game, they'll be a much better team by the end of the season with Rivers as coach.

"Doesn't rebound well"? Maybe compared to some other top guys but he's still above average in that regard. You don't grab 10 rebs/gm otherwise. In addition to that he's also a gifted passer for a big man. Won't disagree that his shot and FT% need work though.

Michael Carter Williams (PHI) may have just put down the best 1st night performance that I've ever seen from a rookie PG. Holy crap.

vs. MIA: 20 pts, 7 rebs, 12 assists, 4 treys, 9 stls!... all in 28 min!
