the more humiliated defender looks the better crossover is. pierce didn't look that humiliated, he didn't go to a wrong direction, I hardly even see a crossover there
9 out of 10 random basketball fans will say crawfords crossover is one of the sickest ever. i know majority isn't always right, but it's sport for fans and fans decide

While JJ displayed some nice ball handling and ball security, Crawford completely mind fucked the defender. Both were nice but I don't see how someone can argue JJ's was better.

Not even sure Jeff will understand that.

Put another way, Matthews is playing on an angle and his body is not squared to Crawford's. He is clearly looking to direct Crawford into a particular area (where I guess he expected a big to meet him at the top of the key), but, as SJ, pointed out, there is nobody there to meet him. I think there was a defensive miscommunication or something, because it seems odd that Matthews was basically daring him to dribble right and go into the paint uncontested.

On the other hand, Pierce is down low, in a proper stance, playing squared-up fairly tight D on Johnson. Getting past that required a sick handle.

JJ's is a more impressive display of overall dribbling ability, even if the cross-over was not as emphatic.

Yeah, after watching that clip again, I'm not sure why Matthews shifts his foot position at the 0:02 mark. Not particular wise. He seems to be overplaying Crawford to prevent him from going left. He put himself at a disadvantage.

The thing is, after watching it a second time slowed down, I'm not sure what the fuck Matthews was thinking. He may not have even had a reasonable expectation that help D would come, because they don't even appear to be thinking about coming to double. Yet Matthews appears to purposely trying to get Crawford to go to his strong hand, by changing his angle. Weird. Either way, Pierce was making things far more difficult for JJ than Matthews was for Crawford.

JJ's move was nasty but if we're talking about actual CROSSOVER, I don't see how it's better than Crawford's.

How dare you! Matthews never gives up. He's the best SG in the world.

Ya'll should see that crap I get over here when I say Matthews stinks. I have no idea why so many Blazer fans are in love with a younger version of Ben Gordon. Wesley can't barely even dunk anymore. That's kind've a weak spot when you're starting 2 guard can't finish above the rim. Especially in the NBA. And with the Blazers having possibly the worst bench ever in recorded history, there's no one in this organization that can come anywhere close to taking his starting spot away.

I've seen more then one example this season where there's a loose ball at halfcourt, and Wesley won't go after it, even though he's the closest Blazer. One game earlier this year he actually pointed and yelled at a Blazer to go after a loose ball, when he was the closest Blazer. Lately he's been screaming loudly everytime he goes at the rack. Like invisible gremlins are poking him in the legs during the shot. Issues, the Blazers are having issues. Luckily our super rookie is masking some of our major backcourt blemishes.

So Howard just through the ball away trying to give it to Nash...how he missed him I have no idea. Howard started to whine, but Nash calmed the whole thing down and smiled at him and put his arm around him. Leader.

Call me crazy, bu I don't think that hope is all lost for the Lakers.
