![]() ![]() And about Harden. Great player, and as the number one option in Houston he will average about 23-25 ppg, but this 35+ stuff will die down. He's just riding the high of a new contract and all the attention he's getting. Unfortunate that OKC couldn't keep him, but I believe that keeping Ibaka was more important. The guy is one of the best defensive players in the NBA. Harder to find then a guy to score you 20 points or so a game. Loved Martin tonight, he's fitting in well. Jeremy Lamb was 1-1 from three as well!! Durant is rebounding like Bill Russell, and Westbrook had a very efficient night. OKC will be just fine.:mailman: |

![]() Massive kudos to CP3 for that performance against the Lakers. Thriller must have loved that. Ha.
Maybe the Knicks won't be as bad as I thought.... Felton and Kidd (and even Frigioni) do a great job of moving the ball and keeping others involved. They looked really good in spite of all Melo's chucking. |

![]() Jamal Crawford being on a leash in terms of his shot selection and role on this team is probably the best thing to ever happen to him. He knows he doesnt have to force his game when he comes in the game, and hes taking the shots within the offence. VDN has rewarded him by giving him more playing time and also giving him ISOs at the top of the key to break down his man because the guy is just fire right now. Who knew that he'd be such a great fit with the Clippers? I didnt see it coming, but he looks like the steal of the offseason right now. He fits in perfectly with the Clippers, and their bench is scary good. Him and Bledsoe alone change the game dramatically when they come in, but now you factor in that they have Barnes, Hill, and Billups as well, if one isnt playing well the other will take their minutes and they can bring in guys for specific matchups. Once LO gets going, they're going to be bar none the best bench in the NBA.
And yes, I thoroughly enjoyed CP3 dissecting LA yesterday. LA needs Dwight to get healthy quick. He can cover up for their lack of quickness on the perimeter once hes 100% and can jump like he used to to affect shots, but as of now they're getting killed on pick and rolls and in transition. And Brown is doing a terrible job of using his bench. He needs to figure out his rotation, and which big he's going to use more frequently between Hill and Jamison, because using both equally hurts both their production. You cant try and play as slow as they are with no bench production the entire year. They need to restructure the offence so theyre getting their bench players more involved when on the court(and keep 2 stars on the court at all times with them to get them open looks), and also as I've said before, running a lot more of the offence through Nash. They need to do what Miami does with Bosh, and screen roll with either Gasol or Howard 80+% of the time hard cutting to the rim, with the ballhandler getting in to the lane and if the pass to the big isnt there, the perimeter help guy will be there to cut off the lane, and then the corner 3's will be open. I dont understand why they just arent running basic NBA offence when they have the personnel to do so. You have arguably the best pick and roll PG in the NBA, and Kobe who is a more than capable pick and roll player, and you're isolating Howard/Kobe/Gasol most of the time. Its bad offence. Their lack of spacing in the isolations is also a huge problem, because their bigs cant effectively space the floor unless Gasol is behind the 3 point line and you dont want him there. So Brown is going to have to think of something to fix the issue, and I dont think hes capable of it judging from past history. |

![]() Oh man Lakers cant even get a win yet ! And Kobe is killing it too. I have a feeling that Damian Lilliard might be ROY. He's playing amazing for a rookie and is leading in all categories. He sorta reminds me of a brandon roy but more of PG skills and around the same scoring ability. Plus he has no knee problems. Plus tis is OJ Mayos breakout year. Had a solid game
