Half way through the 3rd quarter and Harden already has 25 points against the Hawks.

Where do you get the proxy?

All I get is:

This game is currently not
available in your location.

And Kemba Walker is shiting on the Pacers, helping the Bobacts lead that game.

The whole season has upsets here and there, but it always seems like there are some particularly whacky surprises during the first couple of weeks of the season.

Orlando up by 15!?

I think Jeremy Lin will have a solid season if he can avg 14pts/8asts/2stls with a couple trips to the line. He's obviously not getting the foul calls he used to as a Knick and he's gotta stop shooting a lot.

True, we haven't heard much about "Linsanity", but he has played quite well. I agree that it could be good for Lin. He could fly under the radar a bit. And since Lin is so willing to slash, he could really take advantage of the increasing number of doubles Harden will face. There is going to be room to penetrate when they swing the ball.

If you watch the highlights against the Pistons, there was a lot of slashing and "drive and kick" going on between Harden and Lin. One attracts attention and the kicks to give the other a running start at the rim or an open perimeter look. They also ran well together in the open court. They have really good chemistry considering that Harden just showed up in Houston right before the start of the season. They look like they had at least a full pre-season together.

On an unrelated note, but still about Houston, McChale still has not played T-Jones, Royce White and Montiejunas. For now at least, Rockets def looking to win and not about developing the youngters. Montie looked good in a couple of summer league games but can't sniff the court right now.

In this game, it was actually unwarranted. Here is why:

1 - Many of his shots were in the rhythym of the offense.

2- He didn't really take 22 shots, as in 22 seperate possessions. See, on 3 seperate occasions, he had MULTIPLE offensive rebounds. On two possession, he missed 3 straight shots in the paint and kept the ball alive, only to have Chandler follow and finish the play.

It's more like 20 points on 15 shots, when you take out those hot potato rebound possessions.

A person with solid observational skills will know what I was talking about in point #2. It's painfully hard to miss, given how Jeff Van Gundy blew his load praising Melo for keeping the ball alive and "leading by example".

If he was really chucking, they likely wouldn't be up by 10 over the heat. They were good shots and extra possession.

James Harden is god. OKC should have tired to move Ibaka's $12.5 mill. It's easier to find PF's than wings who can score and create efficiently.
