All that in only 15min of play.
Duncan is beasting so far.

Dunked on the number 1 shot blocker in the NBA then blocked the number 1 scorer in the NBA.

Not bad for a 36 year old.

just without the slashing to the rim, ways of attracting contact when he gets there to get free throws and controlling the tempo of the OKC offence when he's coming off the bench. OKC is gonna miss harden and lakers are probably printing NBA finals jerseys right now lol

I haven't seen him start the season off the way he has at the moment since 2008.

as the season goes on, yeah, they will probably miss Harden. But, given that it was Martin's first game with the club, I thought he gave them good production. If gives them that, or something close to that, on a nightly basis, they won't drop off much during the regular season. It might have come without some of the slashing that Harden brought to the table, but Martin had efficient game. Hit a few 3s, got to the line 4 times, added 5 assists. After Harden's game against the Pistons last night, some OKC fans thought the sky was falling. Martin was solid tonight. They had a chance to win on the road against their main competition, after the Lakers.

What he said^

Martin will fit in nicely. Just give it a few games.

I think the result is promising for OKC, they didnt play well and still managed to only lose by a last second shot.

Durant had a nice statlin, 23pts/14reb/5ast

agreed bill.

And to add, harden got to the line 1 time more per game than martin last season and harden is the young, athletic, slashing buck and martin is the past his prime guy who had an inconsistent season with health issues.

I kinda feel for Lamb... went from probably getting 20+ min/gm in HOU to a whole bunch of DNPCDs now in OKC lol.

Lamb might have got more PT in HOU, but I don't know if 20 MPG is a given, at least this early in the season.

If you're going to look at the Lamb DNP on opening night as evidence, you should also look at HOU's situation...

1- The Rockets still would have had Kevin Martin playing the 2 guard, and they would likely have wanted to give him 30+ minutes in order to showcase him for a trade.

2- McHale didn't play Terrence Jones, Montiejunas, or White. All three rookies got ZERO playing time. And the guys McChale put on court ahead of them were not that much better. As the MVP of West Hollywood put it, he "Dantoni" 'd them.

If I had to guess, I'd say that both teams will start eventually finding minutes for their rookies. But the first game suggests that neither team is throwing their rookies to the wolves. It's tough to make any judgement after one game.

Lamb won't play much in OKC imo, with Sefolosha and Martin in front of him.

proxy set and watching the NYK-MIA game through the league pass free trial at the library. For $100/season, I might need to invest in this lol...only problem is my bandwidth limit at home

Westbrook is lighting up Lillard, 8 first quarter points so far on 4-6 shooting.

Durant is having another great rebounding game, 4 so far. Had 14 last night.

We'll have to wait and see. OKC does not really have a back-up SF, and Durant also gets some of his minutes at the PF position when the Thunder are playing small ball. As the season goes on, I think the Thunder will try and get Lamb and PJ3 some minutes here and there.
