Well... guess that takes the Pau trade off the table for the Lakers.

There is nothing to "ugh" about. The decision to let him go made sense within a plan that included Lowry and Calderon on the roster to start the season. Think it through.

As people who paid attention last year know, sometimes Bayless plays well for stretches when he gets 30+ minutes or starts. Even then, he can be streaky. If he doesn't get his touches and minutes, his numbers/efficiency fall off.

He's not that great coming off the bench. He's had some good games lately, but some of them were starts. And before that, he was nothing special. I saw a stat on this a few days ago. During the first 43 games, Bayless was shooting below 40% and just 30% from deep, and that was even including a few recent good games. This board has seen you shit on Ross for even worse percentages than that, and now you're asking how good Bayless would look? What?

How realistic is it to even have the guy on our roster to start the year so that he was here now? There's no "ugh" as far as that is concerned, either. There were no minutes at PG, unless you put together a roster anticipating injuries. And even after an injury, he still wouldn't get 30 minutes. You want to keep him on the roster for minutes at SG? We already had too many SG/wings after signing Fields! DD, Fields, Anderson, Rudy...even without considering Ross, it would be tight to find Bayless the minutes he needs to be productive. Ross probably only squeeks into this roster for development reasons. That, and unlike Fields, he can actually hit a shot outside 12 feet. So, Bayless would never have been getting the minutes he needs to succeed. If Ross was never here, they'd likely just go to Fields.
You want Bayless playing 17-18 minutes over Ross playing those minutes? Bayless would have been no more productive. History shows that. In fact, Bayless might have been worse, as his first 43 games with Memphis demonstrates.

At least with Ross we might develop a decent player, or build the hype of a trade chip. Yes, I'm open to trading him for another valuable piece. I'm not a "fanboy", which seems to the default repsponse anytime he is defended. This is more of a why the fuck would you "ugh" over Bayless, just because he had a few good games after a pretty shitty season for a veteran player. We've seen plenty of that inconsistency before.

He had his moments... but we also gave up on him pretty quick considering how cheap he was and how young he is.

Struck me as just another guy who might've tried to do too much when he was here TBH.

At any rate, it's nice to see him doing well elsewhere.

Gives credit for Derozan, Moon, Carter, starting from minute 30!

The Lakers are an embarrassment, and Kobe is still a selfish douche. ISO every play while the other 4 players on his team just watch and thus arent in rhythm if Kobe ever passes the ball, which has rarely happened this game.

The Celtics on the other hand look great moving the ball and players in their halfcourt offence, and KG has found the fountain of youth again lately. He's been fantastic. He completely changed the game last night vs us, and now in the 2nd qtr when he returned from foul trouble. 15 5 4 on 6/9 in 18 minutes. Impressive.

There is no way I would trade Avery Bradley for Cousins. I love this Celtics team without Rondo.
