what a difference 6 months makes. lol

remember how everyone here loved this guy last summer after his championship speech and when he put his ring up for auction? Now................good riddance?

Is he to far gone for us to make a run at him. He does bring D, or he used to. And it not as if any of our SF are any better. He has hit half his three in Jan.

He should have let Kobe's airball go out of bounds instead of grabbing it and scoring the points that beat OKC.

from a purely basketball perspective i never felt he was a good fit for lakers, championship and all. realistically ron artest is still the same nut that bucked up that horrible shot (that went in) in the fourth quarter of game seven, and he's still same guy who gave one of the most memorable press conferences ever. dude's just over the hill, and was last year.

Ron is such a liability on that Lakers team.
he's so slow and has lost all of his offensive game. he looks passionless out there.
His D used to be so stellar because he was so big and athletic at the same time, plus he was mentally hungry and played with a chip on his shoulder... nowadays, he looks so old and tame.
im surprised that the master motivator/manipulator, Col. Sanders, isnt able to get more out of him this season. and if he cant, no one will.

that being said, even Jackson himself is looking old and tired this season - likes he's had enough.

Well, they're not letting Ron do what he can do. Anyone who watched his final season in Houston saw what he could do on offense. He's not given the green flag to do that anymore, and I guess he didn't like how his role has decreased.

thank god for LA he isnt getting the Green light... he is a horrible shooter, yet he jacks up shots anyway.
and what does his 'not getting the green light' have anything to do with his shit defensive numbers? he's averaging career lows across the board. His D was the one thing he was good at in the past... now its mediocre... he only gets by on reputation.

The fact that he can't do anything on offense, brings down his confidence. He seems like a lost guy out there. I can agree he's slowed down this year on defense, but they're not letting him do anything else. Maybe it's motivation, maybe it's him. Who knows? I know that he can do more than just shoot corner 3s.

He'd bring some crazy swagger to Toronto, as well as some brutal press... but it'd be fun! This team could use another guy that would 'ugly' up the game. Where's LX when I need some backup?

With RonRon, over time we could be appreciated as a goon squad at least.

lol I think the lakers were trying to go for 60 wins this season, and ron-ron had been the "scapegoat" for most losses :/ and he hasn't been put in late in games either apparently so he's just frustrated ...
