Great game to end the night with the Clips pulling it out in OT vs the Nets. Kidd hit the game tying shot in regulation but the Clips came out strong in OT with a 10-0 run to cap it. Again, if Boston gets Cassell, it's lights out for the league. They should really look into trading Tony Allen or Big Baby for Sam. Dude is just cold blooded when it counts.

Man, you guys gotta see the poster dunk Amare had on S Williams tonight. Both guys jumped over the moon but Amare went through Sean while in orbit .

That was a sick dunk by Amare on Williams. Welcome to the NBA rook.

They should have more national holidays where the NBA plays all day. This is so fun and relaxing.

Travis Outlaw hits his 90000th game winner on the season. Hes got some bigtime onions.

Oh yeah, and the Wizards arent getting nearly enough credit this year. They're a MUCH improved team without Arenas. They actually run offence now and are tenacious on defence and the boards. Daniels starting has really been a calming influence on their lineup and has given all 4 of the other starters much easier shats. Their D is definately the most impressive thing though, and they made Roger Mason into a solid bench player! I always thought he'd find a place in the league.

Probably the finish of the year in Orlando. Billups travels his way to a 40 foot 3 to tie the game, then Rashard wins it on a fading 15 foot bankshot. Fantastic day for the NBA.

Too lazy to check the scores, but how did the Knicks fair against the Celts tonight, thriller?

Celtics controlled the game most of the game, then Pierce/Qrich got into it and got ejected when Celts were up 19(Qrich was shown saying I'll meet you in the back, heh), Knicks cut it to 7 with McCurry dominating inside for a good stretch, then KG came back in and blew it open. Celts 109 Knicks like 93 I think.

GIVE HIM THE MONEY

Wow, this is an offensive orgasm. Derek Fisher is having every shooters dream night, wide open every play, has 25 in the 3rd, and Kobe just made one of the passes of he year. Hope the Nugs lose.

Melo out for the rest of the game too after being Bowened by Kobe

who wants to bet arenas is traded by the end of the season?
he's already said he'll opt out this year and test the FA market. watch the wiz jump the gun and trade him for a big name... they dont need him... they get a good pg and they're money.

yeah... they should totally trade him.

Arenas, with all the talent that he has, is a classic example of an NBA superstar who's "me first / I'm gonna do it on my own" style is not what it's cracked up to be. They're looking pretty money without a good pg too, so they would be smart to get something for gilbert while they still can.

BTW, i wonder what Gil is thinking right now? Do you think this Washington season is making him re-consider his style of play?

He's thinking, "man these guys are good without me, but they'll be even better when I'm back."

yeah probably. And they would be a lot better if he would play within the team instead of doing it all himself.

but i just don't think his ego could take a back seat like that.

Watching NJ getting obliterated is almost as fun as watching the Spurs getting the same treatment.

Bogut is finally turning into a player. I like Redd on that bucks team too, but the few games I've watched with the Bucks he kinda seems out of place. The one thing though holding that team back is a good solid and steady PG. Mo williams reminds me of a younger Mike James.

Disagree. Mo rarely takes shots he tried to create himself unlike James who would just dribble it through his legs a million times then jack it up. Most of the shots I've seen Mo take the last 2 years are rolling off screens and pick and roll plays. He reminds me a lot more of a young Jason Terry but with better passing ability, he's a great shooter.

Big night tonight in the NBA boys and girls, don't miss it:

Schedule: Jan 23

The big games(surprisingly nothing on any of the sportsnets/thescore/rapstv for all you with no LP), if you're looking to watch a couple of these games then either go on channelsurfing or maybe rapsfan's site which shows every game I think:

WAS@CLE 7PM- WAS has been hot like fire the past week+ and playing fantastic basketball. This will be a big test for their newly shown solid swarming defence.

POR@NO 8PM- IMO the game of the night. 2 emerging bright young teams going at it in the big easy. Paul should be huge in this one, but I really question whether NO's bench can come within 25 points of POR's which may wear down NO tonight. They really need to make a trade for a guy like Mobley to solidify their bench. I still like NO tonight though. Mo hits the game winner.

LAL@SAS 9 PM ESPN- SAS won't let the Lakers take 1 million open shots off doubles like DEN did. They'll just do their usual defensive scheme of forcing him baseline into the help then rotating quick to shooters. Hard to see how LAL wins this one without Bynum. Kobe's gonna have to shoot good against Bowen for once and they'll need one more guy to get 20+ for them to even have a chance.

ATL@DEN- 9PM- 2 teams coming off tough breaks, ATL with that loss against POR after the game winner, and DEN losing Melo for at least a game or two. Iverson should go off in this one, but ATL plays DEN tough as shown in the first game where ATL won at home. Should be high scoring, entertaining up and down basketball.
