Dirk isn't (by his own words) even close to 80%. The way Amare is playing lately, he would have problems defending even at 100% ...

Problem is Dallas cant stop kobe and for some reason almost never double team him even though they double Mcgrady. At least it wont be a blowout like the pathetic Warriors games lately.

Fantastic game between the Mavs and Lakers. Once again, like in most of the other 10 games Dallas lost to +500 teams, they lose it in the final few minutes where they couldnt come up with the big plays on either side of the ball. LA was just unstoppable in the final few minutes with Kobe having the ball in his hands. You try to trap Kobe, Gasol moves up, catches it, then its a 2 on 1 with him and Odom and its over at that point because Dallas wings refused to leave Farmar and Vujacic to help for whatever reason. Youd rather Farmar take an open 3 than Odom and Gasol getting layups. Its obvious you cant gamble on guarding Kobe 1 on 1 as seen by last Mavs/Lakers games. Not many teams matchup well with LA, and although the Mavs can match them for most of the game when it comes down to it they have no answer for how to stop them down the stretch when Kobe has the ball in his hands.

The first game was almost as good with the Spurs losing by 26. The Spurs getting beatdown is so beautiful. Memo the money man ftw.

Haha, DEN lost to the giant killers known as the Kings without 3 of their starters. If Artest played it woulda been a blowout.

Sunday has some great early afternoon, and late, action:

GSW@NOH, 1pm, ABC- Hornets are my 3rd favorite team but I gotta cheer for the dubs in this one. I really dont want to see DEN make the playoffs. GSW beat NO in NO last time, but NO beat GSW in GSW the time before. Should be a great game and its about fucking time ABC put 2 different fucking teams in the rotation.

DAL@PHX, 330pm, ABC- Game of the day bar none. They havent played yet since the big trades so itll be very interesting to see how they matchup especially when Damp diaper goes to the bench. I hate the Mavs, but again, I dont wanna see DEN in the playoffs so I wont be cheering against Dallas today.

LAL@SAC, 9PM, LP- The giant killers, who only have giants left on their sched, go for 2 in a row as they face Kobe and the Lakers. The Kings didnt fare too well last time vs LA with Kobe owning them in the 4th but they have beat them this season and Artest could be back. The well known SAC crowd should be pumped up for this one as well. Should be a nice night cap.

Warriors Hornets off to a great start.

The crying motion from Peja to the Warriors after he hit that 3 was funny.

Embarrassing loss for PHX. Everything great they did up to this point loses some significance imo with this horrible performance. Dantoni kept that scoreless lineup in too long then when stat and Nash finally came in Nash didnt exploit the switch at all or George on Amare at all and jacked up retarded shots.

Chris Paul>>>Steve Nash

Can someone clue me in to what happened in Portland? When they rolled through Toronto, they were one of the West's best teams. Now they have the same record as...*gasp*...the Raptors!...and are missing the playoffs by 7+ games.

They looked so young and sharp early on.

You can only last so long when your center is out and your best player is injured every 4th game, that and theyre in the west so it was inevitable. They cant score enough points eventhough their d is solid.

lakers lose to portland. I can see them losing in the first round if they dont start defending just a little.

if anyone's going to get "upset" in the west, i see it being the lakers or the hornets.

Honestly, I see few upsets in the West. The Lakers are the real deal as are the Hornets. The one team that I can see doing alot of damage though are the Jazz. They gained some good playoff experience and are extremely well coached. The Suns? Well, unless they learn how to defend at the PG and PF positions they won't go anywhere. And teams still have to beat the Spurs.

Jazz are only going to get out of the first round if they get homecourt so these games are the most crucial so far this season and thus the defence that was played yesterday. Sloan has figured out how to stop CP3 and thus the Hornets offence. Hornets are lucky Jazz cant drop to 7th or 8th.

Lakers can get upset in the playoffs if they face GSW and GSW comes in hot like last year. The Lakers defence is awful, they better hope Byum comes back in time for the playoffs.

WED APR 9 games of importance:

DET@PHI, 7PM, LP- DET is in full tank/coast mode since resting Rip, and lost to the Knicks at home last night. Hopefully they get up for this one and have some fucking pride for the Raptors sake after PHI came in there and beat them a couple weeks ago.

BOS@WAS, 7PM, ESPN,LP- Again for the sake of the Raptors...GO WIZARDS! BOS will hopefully only play their starters 20 mins each again and WAS will take it, thats the hope. This is one of the last tough games for WAS on their sched I believe so go Gilbert!

PHX@SA, 930PM, ESPN. SNETW,P- YEA BOIEEEEEE

Biggest western conference game of the year so far:

DEN@GSW, 8PM, THESCORE, TNT- This game is HUUUUUGE, decides who will be the 8th seed, and I really hope GSW wins because I think they have more upset potential vs different teams whereas DEN has none. Imagine a GSW/LAL first round? Wowowowow.

UTA@DAL, 830PM, LP- I dunno why TNT didnt just have this game as the 1st game and the DEN game as the 2nd game. If UTA wants homecourt they have to probably win this game since their last 3 games are vs very tough teams(vs DEN/HOU, @SAS)

LAC@LAL, 1030PM, LP- Maggette is supposed to be back for this one, and Brand is already back. Seeing as how the Lakers defence is awful, it wouldnt surprise me if LAC kept it close all game, but it wouldnt surprise me if they got blown out like last game either. It could be worth watching, we'llsee. If LAL lose they can kiss their chances at the #1 seed behind.
