Still an overreaction at this point IMO.

Shaq is playing his ass off. Its not his fault theyre losing.

Utah announcers made a couple good points, they havent replaced what Marion brought them. Their perimeter defence right now is probably the worst i nthe NBA with Nash, a tired Bell, and Barbosa. If they got Barry instead of Giricek I think they would have won at least 5 of the 9 because hes very smart and plays good team defence and could give guys longer rests on the bench.

That and Dantoni still hasnt figured out a system that works on either side of the ball to incorporate Shaq into. When theyve went into Shaq on offence theyve had a lot of success off the 2nd pass to getting wide open looks yet go away from it. They should be running a play for Shaq, Amare, or Nash pick and roll everytime down. Just get rid of the 'motion' offence. Pound the fucking ball down the other teams throat and make THEM adjust, they have the horses to do it, Dantoni's just too stupid and stubborn to change his system.

And on defence they need the weakside defender to help on pick and rolls to help shaq and force the corner guy to catch it and make a play instead of Deron(or the primarily ballhandler in any game)

Hollinger's article from today is a pretty perfect breakdown on why they're struggling, it's one of the best I've seen from him:

http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/insid...%3dSuns-080307

The +/- of Phoenix with/without Marion over the last couple years is eye-popping, among other numbers he has in there. Things are looking none too pretty in Phoenix.

Isn't the big Miami/Atlanta replay today from the game the Heat protested in December?

Is anyone as excited as I am?

I don't know if I'm happy or pissed that the Wizards are about to lose to Charlotte at home, who have bizareely super awesome lately. No Wallace, 5 game winning streak? I thought they would struggle to win 5 more games in the year without him, heh. I'd love to see them get the 8th seed and play Boston, seeing how tough they've played them this year.

Btw, Rockets tie 4th longest winning streak ever. Only ones ahead of him are Shaq's Lakers with 19, Kareem's Bucks with 20, Wilt's Lakers with 33. Just have to beat NJ, Atlanta, and Charlotte to get the 2nd longest ever. WOW.

Hard to believe HOU beat NO, but NO didnt have West so meh.

Tmacs been the best player in the NBA the past week and a half, but their schedule will get harder soon and then comes the true test.

watching CP and tmac go at it was a real treat.
cp is fantastic... and tmac looks to be getting his mojo back... its a shame injuries have effected him so much in the past, cause when he's on fire, he's damn goood.

the rockets are definitely for real... 18 in a row... thats incredible and 6 without Yao.
i dont think they can keep this going for long, but we;ll see.

SAS@PHX- I think this could be the turnaround for PHX. If they dont come out with playoff intensity in this kind of game its hard to see it working.

I dunno why ESPN scheduled CHI@DET for the 8 pm game, uch.

SAC@LAL could be good with the past rivalry and such, SAC still plays em tough. If Artest plays it should be worth watching.
