Dallas is 25-3 at home, so they should still be just about favored in this game, Dirk or not. I look for Kidd to pump up the running and tempo.

Even a lot of Bulls fans wont watch. Just look at the finals ratings and youll see how well liked and watched they are. I bet if you look up the viewers for tomorrow itll skyrocket from game 1 to game 2 with hou/dal.

When CHI had the big come up and trap on the pick and roll CLE couldnt do shit because it was too late in the shot clock and if Lebron did make a pass the player who got it had to shoot it right away or itd be a shot clock violation or Lebron had to take a horrible shot. CHI defended him well for the most part, when they had the big stay back thats when they got killed. More teams should be employing that strategy vs him, it worked very nicely tonight when they did it.

Mcgrady is destroying the Mavs. This is how the Cavs should play, MOVE THE FUCKING BALL EARLY IN THE CLOCK, not just 1 pass and shot.

Watching any Western team>>>>>>>watching the Cavs

WELL SO MUCH FOR THAT

The Cavs have looked a bit shady since the big deal. A part of wants to think that the old combination was a average lineup + Lebron that for some reason always played better than they should've, and making the trade kind of effed that up. But then again, Ilgauskas is injured. We'll see.

I also think they're gonna miss Larry's defense in the playoffs though. As much as he was a chucker... he was very underrated defensively. His work on Billups was pretty much why the Cavs beat the Pistons and almost did the year before.

for some reason i dont think the nba is just giving Cav's TV time without the ratings, i actually think alot of ppl want to see the present and future best player

Yes shut him down 39 points... Cav's did play poorly but basically no1 else brought it on offense what can the King do. IF shutting him down is 39 i hate to see when u dont. Chicago is so disappointing, i actually thot they would be good pre season

McGrady is actually my fav player and by far my fav raptor ever, he has had unfortunate injuries but i really think he can be in the takeover a game category like LeBron and Kobe when he is 100%. He can simply dominate and is an above average defender/rebounder.

Look up the ratings. Sterns trying to shove him down our throats because he thinks the NBA needs a new Jordan like icon when the NBA just needs a year like htis year where theres a million very good teams and each series besides maybe the 1st rd BOS,DET series should be spectacular. The NBA should stop promoting games for individual matchups and players,(ie with POR vs LAL, ESPN calls it Roy vs Kobe, bunch of bs) and start promoting the teams more. I bet you that the ORL/BOS sunday afternoon ABC game got at least 2x the ratings tonights CLE game got and it was 100000x the ballgame, entertainment wise and just from a basketball standpoint. The NBA should be marketing the team matchups more and stop shoving Lebron and Carmelo down our throats because both of their teams play a garbage brand of basketball.

I didnt say they shut him down. I said when they trapped him with the bigman on the pick and roll and had the PG hedge over to the bigman rolling it killed CLE's offence because by then there was only like 3 on the clock because CLE's offence is garbage. If they defended it the same way everynight instead of having the big stay back some of the time(then Lebron got layups vs them) it woulda been a 40 point blowout instead of a 20 point one. Boston did the same sort of defence and Lebron went like 7-28.

see thriller, we dont always agree, but i respect your opinion cuz u dont get all bent that we dont agree, u just tell me why without personally disrespecting me. Good post btw, but i just enjoy watching LeBron personally, i think the team is garbage but he is my 2nd fav player and getting McGreatness on TV is very rare, and i enjoy watching Houston more then Cav's and Raps most of all

Kobe like everynight, heh.

I dunno whether its Lebrons doing or the coaches philosophy, but running down the shot clock by dribbling the air out of the ball every possession and not leaving enough time on the clock to have multiple options on kickouts is just bad basketball. We saw it with KO and we're seeing it again with Lebron. Houston sort of runs the same stuff now with Yao out but again, at least they do it early in the shot clock where you have options because theres a lot of time left when Mcgrady kicks it out off double teams. I seriously dont know what Cleveland is thinking running the same thing every play, its disgusting to watch and it doesnt work over the long haul vs good defensive teams.

I think when Gibson gets back though their offence should open up more. And also not playing Ben Wallace over Smith would help too. Smith>Wallace

yea prob a bit true but he does average a high amount of dimes and takesover games more then any1 in the league.

Raptors lose to knicks, bobcats etc etc so losing to bulls isnt that bad, it happens, i still think the bulls have some young talented pieces and could be good soon.

thats true, but if last night was another attempt to take over the game... it was pretty bad.
i guess thats what happens when his teamates cant hit an open jumper.

and for the bulls, i disagree... they need to blow up that ship and start over... that project is over.
they were supposed to be good this year... they stink.

PJ browns first game was a pretty good one considering he hasnt played for a year. 3 points 6 boards in 6 minutes, 2 turnovers. He fumbled it twice but besides that he looked like the player Boston wanted.

PHX/UTA 2nd half coming up.

This game is really fun. I must say I enjoy Utah's transformation from one of the most defensive teams to one of the most uptempo and fun. Granted I liked them before and D Will has been one of my favorites since he came in the league, but anyways.

Oh boy, Phoenix is on the edge of doom now... down 4 with 1:30 left. They need this one hardcore, the story of Utah is that they're an amazing home team and just ok on the road, so the Suns need this...

Utah up 4 with 20 secs left, Boozer gets the ball, instead of holding it he drives and Nash steps in for a charge! WTF Boozer???
