WOW .... Oh how the mighty have fallen.

The Celts will now go on to lose every remaining game they have this season and be swept in the playoffs in the first round.

You know KG isnt back to full health when he hasnt even taken his pet shot turnaround fadeaway in the last 3 games.

Pierce and Allen were so amazingly bad yesterday. It was such a winnable game too. They shoulda just force fed KG and let Rondo taken Nash off the dribble on the off play KG didnt touch it. I wasnt impressed with Docs coaching last night whereas the rest of the season he has been above avg.

Very nice to see Shaq being active and owning the paint. As long as the Suns or Celts win the title this year I'll be happy. Shaqs(and Marion not being there) opened up Amare game so much, its not even comparable. Amare is getting the ball in the post now and is allowed to go one on one with no help coming and hes basically impossible to stop from getting a 2 foot shot off the dribble. If the Suns get Barry its hard to see how theyre gonna get beat in the playoffs because theyve probably went from #30 points in the paint and rebounding team to top 3 overnight.

I agree, which is why from the start i loved the move to grab Shaq. He still has way more in the tank then ppl gave him credit for, a motivated Shaq is a scary thing, and it seems his massive ego ppl were worrying about isnt getting in the way and he realizes he isnt the number 1 option.

I always said the best part of the deal wasnt what Shaq will bring on offense or a fast break, its what it will make Amare, believe me with a couple of exceptions no PF in the league wants to guard this kid, and him and Shaq in the middle is beastly.

I loooove how nobody talks about San Antonio. But there they are, 37-17, tied for the third Spot with NO. One game bellow Lakers and phoenix. MAnu is for real.

FEB 24 games:

DET@PHX, 2:30, ABC- Another tough test for PHX, the 3rd game in a row facing a top 5 team. This is a game where I think Shaq will decide the outcome exclusively. If he can stay out of foul trouble on the pick and rolls and continue to dominate the paint and glass PHX should take this one, if he doesnt play near 30 mpg Detroit should win a squeeker.

BOS@POR, 6:00PM, LP- Both teams have been slumping, POR has dropped off the map and BOS is still waiting for KG and Perkins to get back to full health. Should be a close defensive game til the end where I think Boston will pull it out. Pierce should be huge after having the worst game of his career.

CHI@HOU, 8:00 PM, ESPN- I'm just interested to see where and how much Hughes and Gooden play. Houstons won 10 straight and should continue that streak tonight.

Detriot is the best team in the league, and Sheed is a beast on both ends!

BOS finally gets some rhythm back to their offence even though KG's still not back to himself, and HOU continues their winning streak.

LA continues their dominance as well leading by 30 in SEA.

Kidd with 17 dimes, albeit against Minny.

Dont 4get the King, bling bling, 25 pts, 11 dimes and 7 boards (damn u slipping LeBron, its crazy he doesnt get hype with these numbers and he is so damn young, its just expected of him. Granted it was against that horrible Grizz team, but they had alot of new players in the line up. Ben being there seemed to open up things for Z, he played great, and Ben had 12 and 10, basically the kind of numbers they want from them, i definately dont wanna deal with this team in the playoffs, esp when they get time to gel more.

Damn 4got to say Smith is a great pick up, he looked real good off the bench. Ive liked his game for along time.

Ugh ... what's going on with the Suns? This new make-over thing isn't going so well yet. Not just a loss, but blown out to the Pistons.

Its gonna take a lot longer than 3 games for the Suns to mesh Doc. The spacing vs both the Pistons and Celts was really bad. I think eventually theyre going to put Barbosa in the starting lineup to space the floor because thats what you need with Amare and Shaq being in the middle. And they have to figure out where to put Shaq in plays when Amare and Nash are running the pick and roll because last game especially the lane was too clogged due to Shaq being in the wrong place and Hill not being able to hit from the outside and thus Prince helping on the play. Theyll figure it out soon, it should be all figured out by late March then theyll be extremely tough to beat. One big positive is Shaq has played big on defence and has rebounded very nicely, and thats the main thing they wanted from him.

Not much on the slate tonight:

DET@DEN- Game of the night. Must win for DEN if they want to stay in the playoff race(they just lost 2 games in a row, both they shoulda won), and DET's coming off a back to back, could be a letdown game even though their starters didnt play all that much.

BOS@LAC- I always enjoy the late 10:30 starts. Back to back for Boston in must win game. I think KG will finally have a KG type game tonight. I'm interested to see how Thornton does vs their D and who guards him.

Not much tonight and tomorrow on the slate in terms of real must watch games, but WED the NBA has 3 excellent games on the slate with CLE@BOS, PHX@NO, and DET@UTA.

JR Smith got fouled from 30 feet when the Pistons were up by 3 with 10 seconds left, missed the 2nd, and missed the 3rd and then Kenyon Martin missed the follow dunk to tie. It just isnt meant to be for Denver.

Tony Allen was the medicine for Thornton. Nice to see Boston finally look in sinc on offence.

Rockets cant make the playoffs unless Denver has an injury to Melo or they just flat out collapse, or if Houston has the easiest sched known to man and only plays like 5 games vs the top 8 of the west or something crazy like that.

I think we should hold you to your word pimpery and make some sort of bet so you cant just throw out wild predictions like that without having to back it up. Shall we have an avatar bet on whether Houston makes dthe playoffs or not?

Big night tonight in the NBA(FEB27):

CLE@BOS, 7:30PM, NBATV- Best game of the night in the East anyway. Tough game for both teams with Boston coming off an iffy road trip(although won 2 straight) and CLE coming off a tough loss in MIL. Should be an excellent game and should show who of the 4 guys that got traded can step up vs a great team. I expect Wally to be big.

PHX@NO, 8:00pm- For some reason this game isnt scheduled on league pass and I'm fucking pissed about it. PHX is 0-3 coming into this game vs NO, but things could change now that Chandler and West wont massacre them with Shaq in the middle especially on the boards. PHX breaks the streak.

DET@UTA, 9:00PM, SNETW- I dont remember the last time DET has beaten UTA. UTA's had their number for at least the past 2 seasons. Expect that streak to continue inUtah where they almost never lose anyway.
