As bad as the Spurs have played of late they're quite capable of going a massive run. All Pop Vader has to do invoke the power of the dark side.

Parker could be out up to a month with the bone spur in his foot. The news just keeps getting better and better for those that want to see a Spursless playoffs.

Hmm ... does that mean the Spurs will now enter the "Mighty Mouse" sweepstakes?

wow.... the defending champs not in the playoffs?
i cant even fathom an NBA playoffs sans SAS.
when was the last time they didnt make it in?
must be over a decade ago, right?
teams like Phoenix and dallas must be salivating at the thought.

they will make it, i could never see them out.

Them being without Parker for at least 2 weeks+ all their shooters not being able to make shots= SA losses. It's a beautiful thing. Hopefully Mighty Mouse stays away from them so theyre forced to start Vaughn continually.

Anyways, tonights(JAN 30) key matchups:

GSW@NO 8PM, LP- Game of the night by far. NO is rolling and GSW just came off a tough loss in Houston. I wonder if Webber will make his debut tonight. Either way, NO beat GSW in their house by 12 2 weeks ago, CP3 dominated the 4th qtr after Baron outplayed him the first 3 qtrs(and 4 of their 5 starters had 20+ pts, Chandler had 22+22). The way CP3 gets into the paint and just kills teams, GSW is gonna have to REALLY score a ton of points tonight if they're gonna win, because this is just the kinda team they struggle against(good off rebounding team that makes their money inside)

CLE@POR- ESPN, SNETW- This game should come down to the wire since both teams play halfcourt ball(Portland's style obviously being the more watchable, passing oriented entertaining version, where as CLE just ISO's all game, booooring). Hopefully Roy outduels Lebron late like he did to Joe Johnson and POR comes out with a W.

Tomorrow's the big money night with the reserves being announced on TNT's pregame, and then DAL/BOS and SA/PHX, cant wait.

GSW goes into NO and doesnt miss a shot. NO really missed Mo's defence on Baron so they wouldnt have had to double. Playing Paul all 48 minutes was necessary but a joke. NO NEEDS to make a move before the deadline, their bench is dirt thin as shown tonight.

I fucking hate Lebron.

Biggest TNT Nba thursday yet with the allstar reserves being announced and 2 great games on the slate(JAN 31)

LAL@DET, 7:30, LP: LA has been struggling lately and now goes on their huge eastern conference 9 game trip(last game in MIN though). Hopefully they keep it close vs DET so theyre tired tomorrow vs us.

DAL
@BOS- Would have been Boston's toughest challenge yet, but KG is out so all bets are off. Allen will play tonight though, should still be a good one.

SA@PHX- Hopefully PHX mutiliates them without TP and anything resembling outside shooting.

I hope Kobe scored 200 points today against the Wiz, so it won't always be about how he kills the Raps...

Dallas Detroit should be good. I wish there was another NBA game on, I dunno if I can stand watching a full football game start to finish. Maybe I'll just 2k8.

dallas loses by 23, another reason I still think Detroit is the most impressive team in the NBA.

http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/recap?gi...020308&prov=ap

The bombastic center scored over Dirk Nowitzki on a fadeaway late in the third quarter as Detroit pulled away, and Wallace had a some more words for the Mavericks.

"He can't guard me!" Wallace screamed toward Dallas' bench.

Lol, what a bastard.

Dirk was absolutely horrible yesterday. One of his worst games that I've ever watched.

he's been a disappointment this season.
he's the reigning MVP, he should be considered a candidate again... but he isnt. he wont even get a vote this year. he's been average IMO. nothing special... 20/10 so what... no way in hell dallas gets past the 2nd round this year. book it.
