Wizards Arenas Frustrated

Quote:
Arenas' 11th turnover was the backbreaker. Driving to the basket with time running down on the shot clock, Arenas lost the ball in traffic. It was batted out to Wade, who raced the length of the floor and flushed a two-handed jam that put Miami up 77-73 with 3:43 left.

The Heat closed the game on a 19-3 run and handed Washington its fifth blowout defeat of the season.

"I don't know what the hell is going on around here. I don't know if some old player put a curse on us back in the day. I have no idea," Arenas said. "It's frustrating because we feel we're better than the teams we've been losing to. We're just going through scoring teams, going through these things where we're scoring 13 and 14 in the third and the fourth. It's frustrating, you know."

Remember, Arenas is coming back from a devastating injury that seen him laid up for almost all last season. He can't be expected to hit full stride at the beginning of the season.

Yeah, it sure is tough when you're giving the other team 12 more chances to score Gil!

He set a team record. And it might just last a very long time.

I wonder what the NBA mark is.

I don't know how much truth there is too it but i don't make up shit so your sarcasm is lame Trane. Anyway here is a link to an article about it. Athletes are human and have feelings and a life outside of their sport so i'd imagine these devastating and embarrasing rumours would have to contribute to his poor play.

Arenas's Fiancée Rumored to Be Reason for Shaq's Divorce | NBC Washington

A rumored star-studded NBA love triangle that has nothing to do with the Los Angeles Lakers' offense may be the reason for a certain Cleveland Cavaliers center's pending divorce. If you believe everything you read on the Internet, that is.

Rumors circulating the blogosphere say the Big Aristotle may have Shaqqed up with Gilbert Arenas's fiancée.

Shaunie O'Neal filed for legal separation this week and plans to divorce her husband of seven years, Shaquille, and according to rumors, it's because he cheated with Laura Govan, who is expecting her third child with Arenas next month.

The rumors began circulating the Internet last week. A source told Young, Black and Fabulous that e-mails between the alleged cheaters revealed their secret sexual relationship.

Allegedly, Laura and Shaq have been friends in public…and more than friends in private…for the past 5 years. Supposedly they’ve been flying to each others' towns and meeting up at different events. They even allegedly spent time together last Christmas when Shaq was still playing in Phoenix. Laura just so happened to be there "visiting her sister."

With a bun in Govan's oven, this is classic soap opera stuff. Who's your daddy?

It will be interesting to see how Agent Zero and the Shaqtus behave toward each other next Wednesday when the Cavs will be in town to take on the Wizards. Maybe more interesting to learn where Govan sleeps that night.

Thanks Apollo. I actually meant to go search the second that I posted my query, and being old, well, the mind wanders sometimes.

And Billa - thank you for the information. It did sound like just a dumbass comment the first time around. The full account puts a different spin on it.

The rumours may hit a little too close to home for Gilbert, giving him enough reason to be suspicious and concerned. That NBC article leaves out some of the important details about Gilbert's strange past with his fiance. A few years ago, the first time she got pregnant, Gilbert ordered a praternity test to confirm it was his kid. Clearly he was either aware of his fiance (girlfriend at the time) having other partners or he at least suspected it. On a related note, the emails that indicate Shaq has been messing with Gilbert's woman are dated 9 months prior to the due date of her next child.

you know what dude, had you posted a link or made a reasonably mature comment you wouldn't have had any sarcasm from me, but a cheap one-liner about a guy fucking another guy's wife isn't exactly worthy of anything else but sracasm.

fair enough and valid point,i said it in that way assuming everyone already heard about it but it wasnt necessary. In my opinion,Gilbert is slightly overrated. He can be entertaining at times and when you see 40 points you think wow but most times if you check the box scores he'll shoot like 9 for 27.
