Angry Antoine Walker Squandered Away All of his Money

I'd love to say I feel sorry for him, but I don't. $110 million bucks and now he has next to nothing. Pathetic and the definition of irresponsible.

"I know Antoine has enjoyed himself," said a former teammate. "He had a good time, as all professionals who are in that situation should. But there's tough lessons you learn about the responsibilities that come with being a professional athlete that makes a lot of money. Sometimes this is one of the consequences to that."

It doesn't make me sad at all. It shows me that on some level, karma still works.

He could probably get a good price for his championship ring on Ebay if he hasn't pawned it already.

so you're suggesting that i should feel more sorry for a millionaire that squandered away his fortune than a family that has always known poverty because the poor family should be happy that they have the wool pulled over their eyes?

please explain... because i can't find anything in what you are saying besides the idea that it could possibly be good to be poor, just because you haven't developed a sense of how great luxury is. you think people can't see what it might be like without experiencing it themselves? surely our media gives plenty of glimpses...

I know what ya meant.

If you never have anything, you don't know what it feels like to have excess. You're fine living the way you are, because it's all you ever knew.

But if you have nothing, and then eventually have more than your share, losing that has a bigger bringdown than if you never had it at all.

And yes. I explained it incorrectly. But I speak my own language so psshhhtt.

that would make sense if the person in question never was able to see what luxury is like, but we display all the time, all over the place. movies, tv, music, cars, big houses, restaurants, etc. no one, in north america anyways, is ignorant as to what luxury is like.
