It must be 2 years with a team option because they already have Faried and Harrington locked in. I guess they think he'll have the kind of turnaround that Mcgee did under Karl.
Hes got a lot of talent and potential obviously, and often shows flashes of it, but hes the kind of player that needs big minutes to produce, and its extremely difficult to give him those minutes given how inconsistant he is. You cant be giving consistent 30 minutes to a guy who may end up giving you a stinker game 50+ percent of the time vs a great game maybe every 4th game. Randolph has never seemed to have the mental capacity to play at a high level for a few games at a time let alone 10+ games or a season. But then again, if he has a bustout game off the bench every 6th game or so the contract really isnt that bad. I just think hes capable of so much more when comparing him to other 'potential' guys because when Randolph plays great, his great is on the level of the 2nd tier PFs. |

this is a steal. for 2 mil a year, I would have given him the contract and amnestied amir. I love Amir, but this guy screams potential, and DC would be the guy to make him consistant. sad we didn't get him.
