A new NBA franchise in Vancouver would do better than the Grizzlies. With the emergence of Steve Nash basketball is far more popular in British Columbia than it was 10 years ago.
Let's not forget the huge Asian population residing in Vancouver now, who are just as obsessed with Basketball as the country of China now is.
Vancouver is a much different city than it was when the Grizzlies were there.

I think Memphis ticket sales suck. Could we see a Vancouver Grizzlies comeback?

Their ticket sales sucked the last three seasons. 13,500 is nothing to brag about.

400,000?May as well put one in Ottawa (800,000).But that wouldn't work either. No other city in Canada will get another team anytime soon if ever.

The only logical choice, if any, in my opinion would be Montreal.

Again, thank you for that. The majority of us are intelligent enough to know that, but still it's kinda fun to debate which city could potentially get one. If Oklahoma City gets one then any city could potentially receive one. All that is required is a proactive commissioner who sees global expansion neccessary.

I'd love to have 2 Toronto NBA teams. Now that would be rivalry.

Los Angeles has 2 LA based teams. Why can't we?
Because our city is too small >_<

Because there's barely enough interest in one team.

how about "Red Deer" alberta, in other words some place halfway between edmonton and calgary, they got over a million each, an hour's drive to the arena from both places, plus suburbians are the fans of the raptors, not metropolitan torontonians. so u got 2 million fans, who are actually more hungry for basketball than vancouver fans ever were. oh, and alberta's rich...

OK, all these plans are great but there are about 50 other areas with the same characteristics in the States that do not have a team and there are not gonna get. How about an NBA franchise in Mexico City? A market of 20,000,000 people.Or more realistically a team in San Juan, Puerto Rico. These guys have a good national team and a great arena.

Not for much longer, Newfoundland is the next province to get rich.
