Andrew Bynum- Still an immature idiot

This was earlier in the game:

And this is after the game:

Bynum Will Continue To Shoot Three’s CBS Los Angeles

I was ok with Bynum until he showed his true colors with the Barea mugging, and all of the things that have happened since with Bynum apparently lashing out against Mike Brown. The most telling comment of all is him saying he's going to keep taking them despite his coach telling him not to.

The sad thing is, as bad of a coach as I think Brown is, he's going to get the boot because one of his star players doesnt likend get along with him even if they get to the Finals. The players always get their way in these instances. I dont see Bynum as the type to make amends and make things right with anyone let alone his coach.

And theres this too:

bynums a punk bitch that needs to be put in his place.
normally guys go through their subborn phase in the teenage years. looks like he's just going thru them now....:dead:

Raptorman 03-28-2012 01:48 PM

Usually guys his size learn to be gentle giants. Or they are going to kill someone and end up in jail.

carp 03-28-2012 01:52 PM

Guy shoots 50% for his last two 3 pointers and gets this kind of treatment?

:cookie:

Blaze 03-28-2012 02:15 PM

Guys chill out it was a stupid move but comon does it undo all the good he did this year

Chris 03-28-2012 02:43 PM

No, but it still makes him a dumbass. What NBA player arcs a freethrow like that and defies his coach shooting a 3 for shits. He's getting paid millions to do his job, and he's being an idiot about it.

What if I went into the office and turned on loud music and started throwing things around? I'd get fired. He should be benched for a few games for being a moron.

You've never made a bonehead decision at work? Suspended for a few games, for trying to hit a 3 in a basketball game? Stupid move obviously, but suspendable, come on. Now if he goes out and does it again and being bench didn't get through his thick skull then let's see.

He told his coach he's going to continue shooting 3's. Also, that freethrow looks like something me and my friends would try in gym class in high school along with the grannyshot.

ClutchCity 03-28-2012 02:57 PM

I don't know about the free throw. He sometimes shoots with ridiculous arc (like Dirk) and sometimes it's more of a line drive. I don't think he intentionally missed that FT. However, the three pointer, and his childish actions during timeouts/game breaks was unacceptable. And his post-game comments were even worse...

bjjs 03-28-2012 03:18 PM

Suspension without pay sounds right to me.

ur totally missing the point. yes players take bad shots all the time. its the fact that afterwards he saw nothing wrong with it and would continue to do it again. he's basically saying, i'm gonna do what the hell i want to do. if you don't like it do something about it, but i know you won't.
which is why in my first post i said someone needs to put this punk bitch in his place. either kobe or metta or the lakers front office

also, this is more than a bad shot.... when kobe doesn't pass to open teammates and goes 1 on 5. thats a bad shot. this is your 7 ft center have no conscience chucking up 3 pointers and then backtalks like a troubled teen when called out for it afterwards.

Dark Knight 03-28-2012 04:27 PM

Trade him to Charlotte! :cookie:

CobraKing 03-28-2012 04:31 PM

As a coach, you do NOT want your Centre shooting 3s. Is your PG or SG going to be grabbing the inevitable rebound? The Centre should be working on and focusing on their low-post game as well being ready to grab boards. Kudos to Mike Brown for disciplining Bynum.

How many of you guys remember Rasheed Wallace spending the latter end of his career shooting 3s from the perimeter? He still had a solid post game but he just got comfortable from beyond the arc.

ClingRap 03-28-2012 04:34 PM

I'd never seen that Barea cheap shot, only read about it. My god. That's on par with what kermit washington did to rudy tomjonovich back in the day. All three of those cheap shots are identical. You can end someone's career like that, a full head of steam and two to three feet in the air with nowhere to go. That's malicious, and straight up assault, first degree.

LX 03-28-2012 04:55 PM

Yeah - I can't look at the guy as a high-value basketball player after the cheap shots. But he's also a Laker so there is some bias involved. But there have been a good number of Lakers players that I held in high esteem. He's just not going to come close.

Grizz 03-28-2012 05:15 PM

I'm all for hating Bynum for this behaviour, but the notion of suspending him is laughable.

Not only that the Lakers would never do it, but the fact that the player's union would be all over that so fast he wouldn't even miss a game.

halphbreedballer 03-28-2012 05:41 PM

I'll say this though Mike Brown hasn't won anything & it looks incredibly evident that this Lakers team is tuning him out.

I doubt if he makes it past the summer.

This team needs a coach that has won a championship as a coach.
