Amare will look for Championship situation in 2010

I actually thought maybe he'd want to go to a big market and become a multimedia mogul.

Call it a case study of the Knicks and Nets.

While both teams have made their intentions clear - hoping to create enough room under the salary cap and land a top-tier free agent next summer - their plans may ultimately backfire and send the best available players looking elsewhere.

"I'm pretty sure the guys who are looking...from the free-agency standpoint want to get better, they want to win a championship," said Amar'e Stoudemire, the Phoenix Suns forward who can opt out of his contract at season's end and join the free-agent class that may include LeBron James and Dwyane Wade. "Speaking for myself, I definitely want to win a championship, that's the ultimate goal."

You have to figure he won't sign in Phoenix, Nash is only there for another year after this one and I see Stevie really starting to decline after his contract is up.

But alas, Mr. Nash has proved me wrong before.
