Amare wants Nash in NY
This isn't exactly surprising. Would Captain Canada want to be part of that circus?

![]() while steve and amare obviously have chemistry. steve and carmelo are not a good fit and the knicks right now is carmelo's team. melo thrives when he has the ball in his hands and creates for himself. he does not thrive with a pg that creates open oppurtunities for him. amare is also a shell of his former self. i know steve is smarter than that. if he left pheonix to go to NY, he might as well have just stayed in phoenix

![]() What can they afford to pay him? They already have 3 max contracts. I can't believe Nash would be interested in playing with Carmelo (I literally can't think of a worse fit) and go to the team that quit on D'antoni. Not to mention they already have Lin, who of course is no Nash, but he's a young developing PG who will be much more affordable.

![]() If Nash goes to N.Y that would be sick. They should also trade Melo if that happened, possibly for a great shooter who doesn't always need the ball in their hands. Ray Allen comes to mind.
Imagine that... Nash, Amare, Allen, would be a great team. |

![]() I've said it many times, if anyone can make it work besides CP3 with Melo/Amare, it'd be Nash. The spacing would improve a ton, the offence would flow a lot better, and both players, especially Amare, would get a lot more good to great shots. Amare taking under 10 shots a game in multiple games in the playoffs is a travesty and just shows how fucked up the Knicks offence is.

![]() Dealing Melo would be ideal..... his value should be pretty high about now but he just doesn't fit on the Knicks.
Even if Nash doesn't end up in N.Y. I think that the Knicks will be better once Lin is back. He was the only one on the team who had the balls to look off Melo when he goes into "selfish" mode. |

![]() Obviously Linsanity skewed things a bit, but he absolutely showed he can be a starter. Long ways to go, but good young PG's aren't easy to come by. I don't see it helping him to sit on the bench for another year.

![]() Nah, Nash is gonna team up with D'antoni in Orlando......throw lobs to Howard and space the floor for Anderson et al
Mike D'Antoni is interested in coaching the Magic should the team not keep Stan Van Gundy. D'Antoni parted ways with the Knicks in mid-March. Read more: DAntoni Interested In Coaching Orlando - RealGM Wiretap |
